driver briefing up for round 2 guys is a couple of things of note re headlight use, replays and track limits. Please take 2 minutes to read. http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/season-11-driver-briefings.4068/
guys, Just further to the driver briefing.... generic message to all divs. - SWERVING - Fuji has been notorious for swerving on the straights, causing issues. A reminder, you can change your line once, but swerving on the straight to prevent the car behind from passing is not allowed. - PIT ENTRY - The pit entry at 4:38 is not allowed, drivers should be attempting to stay within track limits. The painted area is considered OFF TRACK - the entry at 9:30 is almost right ! - Entry at 13:08 is perfect ! - Drivers who are found taking a straight line entry into the pits, with no reason to be on the paint, will receive a 5 second penalty added to their race time. HEADLIGHTS - A reminder that 'FLASHING" of lights to try distract the driver in front is not allowed. Thanks
Wheel died again, just did some soldering on the power supply switching board to hopefully fix it. Sorry for the touch/spin @anne, I'd hoped you'd seen me, guess you didn't expect me to be there.
What a nightmare run in the qualifying and race. An hour earlier I managed a 1:39:1 in a practice room, then couldn't do anywhere near that for either. Couple of spins early on while others did a great job and held on. I had a weird moment when trying to get going again after a spin. Pointing myself the right way, foot off the brake and on the throttle and the ABS light was shining at me and killing any go from the Bentley, cost maybe 4 secs of sitting there. Oh well, managed 8th and happy to be away from Fuji and still having fun P.s. sucks to hear your wheel played up @natmanscoop you had great pace again
Dismal qualifying session. Got a great start but got hung out to dry in the first few corners. Managed an awesome double-pass in turn 1 on lap 2 or 3 and slowly pulled away. At about half distance I found myself in 5th and maintaining a good gap on the cars behind but losing ground on 4th. Pitted lap 17 with no tyre change and settled in for the final 10 laps. Well what a mongrel of a final stint I had. As soon as the temp dropped I could not get the power down out of the sharp turns without turning the car around, plus it was pushing the front coming into the turns so I had to brake heaps earlier, coast around the turn and then baby the throttle out. I spun a few times, ran wide too. Very disappointing and frustrating finish considering where I’d been running earlier. I should have taken softs. The time I’d lost in the pits I still wouldn’t have finished as far back as I did, and I could even have made up some places theoretically. Next round please.
Driver briefing is up guys for the Monza Sprint http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/season-11-driver-briefings.4068/ For our new drivers, really important you read and understand how the reverse grid second race works. Anything i have missed, or any questions, just shoot.. Stu
Hey guys, couple of things.... 1. Looks like the overwhelming majority of drivers ARE available to race this sunday so unless there is a late surge of unavailable's then we will run this weeks Round 4 as scheduled 2. Stewards group are currently working through about 7 protests so until they are sorted results will be provisional. Will try to sort asap so the ladders can be updated and results confirmed. Thanks stu
Quick update, all protests are now compiles (6 in total) and all drivers involved have responded. Stewards group working through each protest and will try have results of those protests out tonight, so Bounty can do the tables (pending appeals). Thanks stu
Driver briefing is up guys for round 4 at Silverstone. http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/season-11-driver-briefings.4068/
Fitted softs in Quali, no good, overheated LHF to start 12th. Battled up to 5th or 4th in the race before rear tires started wearing and I started spinning, dang rear engined Porsche physics! Wheel then died again, even with lid off and desk fan blowing over it. Plug to run it off a laptop Power supply arrives late this week, fingers crossed!
It's definitely the power supply falling over, I have Multimeter proof! I bridged across the internal switch and it still dies, so time to go external Power Supply. C'mon Australia Post, deliver that plug socket!
