REMINDER: NO CUSTOM PAINTED SKINS ALLOWED DUE TO JOIN LAG! PENALTIES MAY APPLY
We recommend completely uninstalling custom painted skins from your ACC folders to avoid the excessive join lag issue.

HOW TO SIGNUP TO THIS EVENT
    :sneaky::ninja::alien::cautious::cool::eek::poop::oops::roflmao::sleep::coffee::thumbsup:

    • Current Season 6 drivers are NOT automatically signed up - you need to go make it happen if you want to be in this race!
    • Drivers not in the current season are free to signup as well.
All sign ups for this event will be handled by our results website. This requires a quick and simple registration to allow drivers to interact with the results site and help us to generate server set-up files and entry lists automatically.
    • Please go to stevehasadomain.com and either log in or register for a user account
    • Once you have logged in there, you will see a link to the signup form under 'News' on the home page
    • Follow the link, fill in the form and you are signed up for the event! If you have raced with us before you will find a mostly pre-filled form
    • You can now sign in to the site anytime to check race results, league tables, stats and so forth
    • Most of these race results, league tables, stats and so forth will also be visible here on our forum
Back here at the forum you can check the Entry list below and see how it grows! Also if you are new to ROOZ ACC leagues please make sure you've done at least (3) legal timed laps in one type of GT3 on the qualifying server before the season begins.
    IMPORTANT INFO
    • Limited Tyre Sets - We are trying out this feature for the first time and limiting each car to 6 sets of dry tyres (wets remain unlimited). Kunos have noted the following:
"Please note that it is necessary to force cars to remain in the server, or drastically reduced tyre sets will be ineffective, as rejoining will reset the tyre sets."
So please do not leave and rejoin the server after the start of Official Practice. If a driver leaves and rejoins the server for any reason we ask that, in the spirit of our sporting competition they self limit their tyre use appropriately.
    • Teams of 2 drivers are an option - Both drivers need to signup as per above. Then please let us know by the night of Saturday 3rd who is in your team and importantly who is the FIRST driver. The FIRST driver must always enter the server FIRST! If the second driver enters first it is likely to cause a game crash for one or both drivers.
    • Single Driver classes:
      • Pro, Silver, AM
    • Team Driver classes:
      • Pro+Pro = Pro
      • Pro+Silver = Pro
      • Pro + Am = Silver
      • Silver+Silver = Silver
      • Silver+Am = Am
      • Am + Am = Am
    • Redressing is a thing - It's important to redress when you have caused another car to lose position. More info here
    • Start Formation - The Kunos start system isn't perfect and still allows cars to be a fair way out of place by the time the lights go green so we will continue to review starts as a matter of procedure. We will issue warnings or penalties to drivers that we believe are gaining an unfair advantage or disadvantaging other drivers by being out of position.
      • Please respect other drivers and stay in your grid position
      • Do not stay 'ghosted' within any other car especially in the final phase of the formation lap
      • It is not acceptable to take another car's position before the start
      • If ACC fails to give a penalty for being out of position then the Admin team will issue a post race penalty
      • Driver's need to be side by side with their row partner and must maintain a reasonable gap to the cars ahead prior to the lights going green
      • Drivers should stop all weaving and brake warming as soon as the double file segment begins
      • penalties WILL NOT BE CLEARED even if it seems to be a glitch - just take more care!
    • Avoiding pre-start and Lap 1 Carnage! - Take extra care as the lights go green as all cars will be in a tight, accelerating pack:
      • Expect cars to be much closer to you and varying in speed due to all the others around so try to leave a tad more space.
      • Assume there are cars in your blind spots and and on the other side of visible cars until the pack spreads out more.
      • In braking zones you must brake SIGNIFICANTLY earlier than you would in general racing.
      • Avoid sudden direction changes unless you are sure you are well clear.
      • If on a straight section don't drift - stay straight.
      • Approach each situation with caution but execute your driving with intelligence.
      • If you need to redress in this tight pack situation keep going until you can move out of the traffic safely before slowing down
    • Optional use of indicators - Should drivers wish to use indicators to assist with managing lapped traffic, they are to be used as they are used on the road - i.e. you should indicate which way you are going - if you indicate left, you go left. REMEMBER TO TURN THEM OFF AGAIN.
    • All drivers should read the "Rooz Etiquette guide' and "Rules & Regs" linked below before the start of Round 1.

    MORE INFO

    DISCORD & VOICE
All important information for racing is available on our forums, however we strongly advise drivers to join our Discord server for for voice and text chat. Sometimes critical information such as server issues, race delays, last minute race format changes, instructions to a specific driver, etc. will be relayed only through the Discord voice channel and text chat. There is also a healthy dose of banter that just makes the round more fun :). Once you sign up for any Season at Rooz you'll be given extra Discord permissions for text chat.

    >> ROOZ Discord Server <<

Discord voice chat rules and etiquette:
    • if you intend to chat you MUST use push-to-talk. No-none wants to hear your gear clicks, heavy breathing or barking dog in the background.
    • non-excessive chat and banter is OK in Practice sessions.
    • There should be minimal chat in Qualifying sessions - essential questions, statements, apologies etc. only.
    • There should be minimal chat in Race sessions - essential questions, statements, apologies etc. only.
    • If you become frustrated or angry at yourself or another driver please do not push your talk button. Keep it private!
    • Please do not conduct arguments over voice chat. Sort it out later!
    • Abuse will not be tolerated. There's no place for that stuff at Rooz!
    • Please wait until ALL drivers have completed the final lap of a race before discussing your race.
    • Admins may speak at any time in any session for obvious reasons.
    • Feel free to hang around in chat after the race. Many of us like to have a laugh about things that may have happened in the race and it can be a nice wind-down :)

    WHY NO CUSTOM PAINTED SKINS?
Unfortunately due to the serious "join freeze" or "join lag" issue we are currently not allowing the use of custom painted skins for this season. Specifically we are talking about skins painted externally and saved as PNG files that are added to ACC.

We love the idea of custom painted skins and would dearly love to add this rich feature to our league but ultimately the quality of the racing must come first. We have discussed at length a number of ideas and methodologies to try to overcome the problem but these involve arrangements which add complexity for the admin team as well as all drivers involved in the season and still may not result in overcoming the problem. If the situation improves significantly either through better support within ACC or through the community arriving at workable solutions then we will certainly look at allowing custom painted skins into our Monday night league racing.

If you also love custom painted skins then please help us out by searching high and low for real solutions, and by all means feel free to do some testing on our servers including during our Wednesday fun practice nights.

At this stage we are not restricting the use of the in-game editor for creating custom colour schemes. This may change if we find that even that system causes serious join lag issues.

NOTE: As we cannot block the use of skins at the server level we strongly suggest all drivers who sign up to the season remove all custom painted skins from their game installation folders as a precaution. If a custom painted skin has been accidentally left selected on a driver's car when they enter the server during a qualifying session causing join lag they will be immediately disqualified from the round. Any driver that has a copy of that joining driver's selected skin will experience a large join lag as that image is loaded into memory. Every other driver on the server may experience some level of 'join lag' even if they have zero customs skins in their game.

EDIT: Added driver classes for single drivers and teams

    Thanks for racing at RaceOnOz
    :)

I'll probably try having a run in the old faithful Honda here I think. Not my strongest circuit but usually good racing!

I’ve signed up and will do my best to bring some Fez to the party. Going from almost no driving for months to a 2 hour enduro? Sounds like a great idea!

https://www.steamidfinder.com/lookup/iMichael123S/ you will need to use the "steamID64 (Dec):" I believe but if that's incorrect then let me know and I'll follow it up for you. Your information which will be handy for you to save in-case you want to join any other leagues later on down the track too since when creating an entrylist for a private server this is required.

Additionally if you want to join this league that currently on-going then you will need to signup over on this thread: https://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/pc-season-6-info-race-schedule-sign-up.4473/ since the thread we're in now is just a one off event for this coming Monday but I think you can find both signups from the main part of the website, once that's done then make sure you come and join this discord.

Thank you, the Monday night event suits me exceptionally well, I will also look into the Sunday series as I believe I can attend those based off the event start time. I look forward to racing everyone involved.

After last night I'm packing up my sim gear and selling it as I arguably won't ever drive that well again ever haha... :roflmao:

In all seriousness was a super event, thank you to all the server admins to get that going! Only one restart for a team driver connection issue, that is a record from my experience! :) Gutted for u @CornfordCaster about the hardware issue and thank you for streaming the whole event!

I was properly spent by the end... ran Strava for the event... 3hrs 50min recorded time, average heartbeat 130bpm and max 158bpm... No cardio, but at least the ticker gets a workout! :p

I really need to make a checklist so I don't do stupid mistakes like leave qual setup on for a 2hr race...
Again, was super fun... after starting in the pits... from there I had lady luck on myside... and jagged the pit strategies...

Saw a few "bloody rain" slide offs etc... it def wasn't easy out there and hope it doesn't put you off taking part in more enduro's here at ROOZ

Super bad luck to @13ue11er, I was really looking forward to those final laps battle... I was super sketchy for those first few laps on slicks and to see u slide off was disappointing that my pass was done under those conditions.

Special shout out to @MatthewMarshHK for about 3-4lap tussle... I came into this event to look for great racing, try to pass to drive well to not be passed... you had me thinking if I have to do this all night I'll def crack and make a silly mistake somewhere... cheers that battle was tops! Thanks again to James for actually showing that on your twitch feed...

    thanks again!

Had fun here thanks guys...yeah, real bummer the under inflated greasy slicks really caught me off guard. I just ran the agg set from the get go and only put on wets, extra wing and tcc for the start, fiddling with controls on the fly for pit adjustments screwed me over a bit too, especially not adding enough air to those slicks

I learned the hard way that 2 hour old wet weather tires, in dry conditions, at around 39 PSI and temperatures over 150 deg C on all corners, results in a car that is almost impossible to drive!

For my first big race since i broke my wrist i am very happy with the result.
I went with an even 40 to 45 minute stints and it worked well for me with my second stop happening just a the rain stopped. I pitted for slicks and was able to keep consist pace on the early laps with no temp in the tires.
The Lexus is pretty strong in the wet all I did for my dry set up is go up to TC 5 and i could keep around 2:10 to 11's so i am sure that helped with the result. I enjoyed the race long battle with another Lexus driven by King and Hildebrandt.

Thanks again to to admin team the changes with weather and limited tire sets made it fun.

Below is a short video of a near miss with King.

You're kidding! That's immense. Is it the DD more than anything, you reckon? I get hot, but my heart rate is nowhere near that elevated.

I had a fun race, bit of action, pressures fairly OK in the wets until of course like others have said the wets turned into soap by the end of the race. The way my stints worked out, I had to pit while it was still raining, and I gambled on underinflated wets rather than slicks. But by the last couple of laps, they really fell off a cliff and I had nothing to defend 3 places that I lost.

I also had some spins while faffing about with pit stop settings on the fly in the MFD, which is a bit painful.

First off apologies to Paul for crashing into him, first one was definitely my fault :(

I would have been one of the few drivers who was happy about the rain. The Porsche just would not handle in the dry, going from terminal understeer to suicidal oversteer at random. However in the rain the Beetle was mighty!

Pitted for dry tires, emerging 30 seconds behind Wally with 25 minutes to go. Catching him and battling Marsh was one of the most fun stints I've had. Big thanks to Stimson for looping it on the last corner :p Overall the 2 hour race felt like 30 minutes, fun!
