We actually haven't been battling on track, a few laps early in race one. I only get to see you head butting a fence as I go by. When you keep it on the black stuff you are faster than me. I was lookinv forward to racing you at tonight's track. It suits me better than the rest.
With no 1B hosts and so many missing we should probably combine divs 1 and 1B, not looking forward to being lapped though.
Div 2 appears to be light on this week too. I'm out, so they're looking for a host so maybe see if they want to combine.
Well, that was just plain awful. I had done over 100 laps of practice and felt I could battle with the others at the back but it all turned to sh%t pretty much straight away. I stuffed up my first qually lap and then had to make way for faster cars for the rest of qually so didn't get anywhere near my PB. Tried to stay out of trouble at the start but there was some pushing and shoving at turn three and I was wide trying to avoid it but got a hit in the side into the fence. Then for some reason the track seemed much more slick than it had been in all my practice runs so much so that I spun 4 times in seven laps at the bowl turn 11 and I had never spun there in all my practice. So by lap 8 I was waaaay behind. I settled down but the gap to the cars ahead was huge and as it was growing I knew I wouldn't be racing anybody. I amused myself watching the gap to the leader grow at about 2 - 3 seconds a lap and I was lapped well before lap 20. From there the amusement was watching the order of the leaders down to position 10 as they passed me and also watching the pretty blue flag sign. I kept myself busy alternating between wanting to just quit or just enjoy the drive. I like this track but not so much in this car. From running about 10 laps straight in the 1:56s practicing before the race I then only managed one lap below 57 for the whole race. I said to the organisers before the car was even voted on that if it was another GT3 I would be too slow for 1B, I think I have given it my best so far this season but have come up way too short. I won't waste time with the rest of the season and will see how things shape up next season before I commit to that.
I only kept going last night because I committed to start the race. Painful is my adjective too, to describe my race and races this season. May turn up for the sprint round but definitely not the other two rounds left, just too painful. Good luck and good racing to all for the remainder of the season.
Thanks, I just watched the replay and did the numbers, I would have been last and lapped in div 2 as well. I'll wait to see what next season brings.
That was weird. Lap 33 I must have disconnected, as all the other drivers cars just came to a stop on the side of the road, but I was allowed to drive on another 4-5 laps before I got kicked from the room. The screenshot says P1, right?
