Ill be running a black macca with green rims tonight. Then I will run with green rims for the rest of season 2
Good idea Ranok You've got to appreciate the effort Bruce put into leading our pack from the start of the season. No fluke, no winging it, just dedication to the idea that practice just might make perfect. He forever seemed 2 steps ahead, or 3 or 6 or a lap and one of my great wants for the season was to catch Bruce in a race and have that kind of challenge we all want to have in our races. I'd call him the great inspiration, he dug deep and made me want to learn every new corner, new brake marker I'd come across...and not just wing it. I (we) knew he was heading up in division next season, and no doubt all from Div 5 would've been barracking for him and following the news to see how high Bruce would climb in rank and ladder. The inspiration isn't lost and he'll now be forever out in front, to never be caught, though we can try.
ok guys, Brenda has contacted me and i need to know who is hosting so we can organize to get BJs car on the grid.
I have another suggestion for the final races of this season. We know Bj wouldn't have missed a race this season, so can he be in the last position of every race as there is a chance he might still take the championship? Just another thought.
ok thanks, i will let Brenda know so she can look for your room, perhaps if you open as soon as you can so we can get him in there nice and early @ serge, i have no problem with that.
The memorial to bj was awesome. Bj's car sat in the pits while we used about 5 mins of the practice session for qualifying. At race start BJ's car came from the rear of the field to lead a parade lap around Daytona. We followed in single file behind in our qualy order. Then once Bruce's car pulled into the pits we did a rolling start and we were under way. I think i can say from all of us here in Div 5 that it was a very touching moment to have Brenda join the room and roll Bruce's car round the track one last time. We will miss him on the starting grid. Thanks again Brenda as it meant a lot to us to have that final farewell for a man we never met but feel very privileged to have know him and call him a mate. Keep on racing in the clouds BJ.
Results: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...VoRG5kbnRBeHRULWRZckQxOFE&usp=drive_web#gid=5 I think VARDZ31 got pole but returned to the pits so ended up starting last? Correct me if I'm wrong on that..
Brenda lines up at the back of the field on behalf of Bruce Hale aka bjh1012 Div5 waits patiently as she makes her way to the head of the pack Drivers line up behind that majestic white car First banking left The last chicane that Bruce's Macca will ever make again in GT6. RIP my brother. A BIG thank you to Brenda for taking the time to show up and do this for Bruce. I was really holding back the tears as we were waiting for her to bring the car up the front at the start.
