I started 12th, 1 spot up from Hat here and managed to keep it clean and 'fast' enough to build a gap to the tail enders, however not fast enough to keep up with Jimmy and the rest of D1, as Jimmy just kept building his gap.
After the pit stop, I found that gap behind was reducing fast and Hat managed a nice overtake and I never saw another car for the remainder of the race...
In short, bar the first few laps, I was not around another car the entire night...

I surprised myself and Qualified well last night to take pole position!
I hadn't been having the best starts lately, so was happy to be leading out of T1.
That happiness was quickly destroyed as my teammate overtook me a few corners later which affected my exit speed and I found myself in 3rd.
No matter what I did, I couldn't get any higher up the order, but at least I grabbed the FL on the final lap.
I outscored my championship rival as he could only manage 6th but if I want to win this, I am going to have to do better next week.

Great car to arrive on the night and have some hardcore battles in,
@groover33 didn't see you come down in the inside at the chicane till we made contract before second apex, didn't intend anything bad there

Outdid myself in all aspects of my race tonight.
Qualified a full second faster than I had ever done in practice (100+ laps over the 2 weeks) and I had managed some 59's with most in the 00's.
First lap, I managed to kind of stick with the pack in front, until the chicane and I was well out of the slip stream (no idea how anyone managed to go through that thing with any pace, every time I tried in practice, I spun.. So I stuck to my lines and didn't spin there once!
By this time the few people I managed to jump at the start had reeled me in and @groover33 and I had a good solid battle for 10 or so laps (the most exciting part of the night), but after 1 too many wiggles, Groover got the run on me and I never saw another car again. Well aside from Tanq and Nemo, who had crashed and then called it a night.
I also tried my best to keep my lap times consistent (something I really need to work on in this car), which for the most part I was able too. However I also wanted to try and constantly improve my lap times, of which I was able to do and almost beat my own FL on the last few laps.

    There was several goals tonight:
    1. Top 10 finish :)
    2. No major off road lawnmowing / Sand castle excursions
    3. Don't get lapped.

I managed the first 2, Thanks Nemo :)
Tried as I much as I could to not get lapped, but Jeeeeesh was just too fast, lapping between 2 to 3s a lap faster, he caught me with only a few laps to go and finished about 8s up the road.
There is a feeling there, with me having a pretty good race with no major off road trips and a pretty much clear road in front of me, that I was still getting lapped.

Another great race last night! After the first lap sorted everyone out and Josh & Matt proceeded to sprint away into the distance, there was a brilliant squabble for P3 between @Noodles87 @Viperzed @LE_bananajosh and myself, fantastic racing and not a single touch between us, such tough racing but just enough racing room.

Came in for first pitstop lap 14 for an attempted undercut, so did @LE_bananajosh with Paul still out, from memory Liam went in on lap 13, we all came out again fairly similar where I was engaged in a duel with Paul for P3. Should've known better here, with Liam just sitting behind cruising meanwhile I was burning up through fuel and it all came clear after 2nd pitstop where I lost valuable time. With Paul a clear gap in 3rd the battle for 4th was on for the SAR teammates, I just couldnt get the job done however after one attempt at turn 1 for 4th the gap remained at about a second until the chequered flag.

Congrats to the podium finishers and especially Jeeesh on the rocketship pace, just too good. Championship fight looks tight for 3rd after current drop rounds, thanks for another great night, see everyone next week!

    Hi all,

In light of F1 this Sunday clashing with Sunday League, I'm suggesting to all Divisions that you consider starting at least 15 minutes early for those who want to watch F1. This decision will need to be unanimous amongst all those intending on racing.

Amazingly tight qualifying session! Thought I may have nabbed a sneaky pole until @Viperzed & Jeeesh came up with some flyers on the last couple laps!
Onto the race and after the usual turn 1 tussle saw Josh off into the gravel settled into third behind Liam with Matt off and away setting some fast times. Figured Liam and I were on a similar groove here cruising in attempt to save fuel & tyres, unfortunately for me I think he did it a far lot better haha and come half race distance I felt like I just dropped off massively pace-wise. Decided to pit, took no fuel but came out well behind where I needed to be and spent the next 15 laps or so looking to finish P4.
Thanks all, see everyone next week!

Very happy (and given what happened at Turn 1, a bit lucky) to score my 15th Division 1 round win.
For as long as I've been here, RaceOnOz has had a constant stream of top Gran Turismo competitors in Australia and NZ, who have qualified for (and won) regional and global GT competitions... so it's always a challenge to remain competitive against this group of drivers. Fortunate that I can still manage to pinch a few wins!

Hey folks, will drop the question again for this round if everyone is okay starting a touch early? MotoGP starts at 9pm AEST so I know there's a few guys keen to catch that.

Of course, our 8pm start time takes precedent, so if you're unable to make the 7:45pm race start, we will stick with the 8pm.

    Thanks all
