Thanks for letting me know mate, I'll keep you on the reserve list just in case you have a change of heart.
I had a good race last night. qualified 3rd although half the field didn't get a time in so I might have been further back if they had. Got a good start and held third for a couple of corners before Jelly Mechanic got through from 5th. He obviously didn't get a good lap in in qually because he sure had good pace. He closed on Tolley and Ozglenn very quickly and I tried to stay in touch. They were battling hard so were holding each other up a bit so I was able to stay in sight. The field behind me dropped back over the first lap and I was safe from behind. I managed to get by Ozglenn when he had a grassy moment and then he passed me on the home straight but had another grassy moment into the final turns and I was able to pass down the pit straight. He then chased me all the way home, faster than me a little bit but I think he was making little mistakes which would give me some space for a while before he caught me again. At the start of lap four Jelly and Tolley were a little way ahead after the pit stop and Tolley was trying his best to stay with Jelly who was very quick. Unfortunately for Tolley he over cooked it and fell back. That Left Jelly with an easy cruise to the finish while I had Ozglenn keeping me honest the whole way. The fifty laps of practice I did during the week improved my lap time by about 10 seconds a lap but also helped me keep it mostly on the black stuff.
What a great race. I qualified 8th and then moved up as people struck trouble, I caught @tolley a couple of laps before our pit stops and got through on the inside of turn three but in pulling tight to give him room I upset the car and oversteered into a spin back to 9th place. I passed a few cars and kept pace with the leaders from there but finished 5th. Disappointed with what might have been.
Some great racing tonight gents. Well done @emmo46 just too fast tonight. Sorry @boneslightning for the inside rail moment. Was holding as close as I could. See y’all at the highway
May be out tonight. Still waiting for the update to download. Started it 2hrs ago, still got 1hr 15mins.
Somehow snagged pole, got an awful start off the line. Used the strat of no idea just go. Ended 3rd. Had a great time as always. Thanks all for coming. Top 10 for everyone Get well soon Hoges'y We miss you.
Fantastic quallifying from you. My race didn't go well. I got 4th on the grid after a rough qually run with a couple of mistakes of my own and getting caught up in other peoples crashes. I started on RM and got a good start to be 3rd entering turn one but was dive bombed back to fifth. As we passed the first timing mark the field was bunched with me on the extreme right. I got pushed up against the wall and then a car was sideways across my bow. The collision caused me to spin and I was now back to eighth. Being on RM I was able to make my way back through some of the RH runners. After the pit stops I was fifth now on RH and was able to hold that to the end as the RM runners ahead pulled away and the RM runners behind gained. Three new faces on the podium and a fifth winner in five races. It has been a topsy turvy season with the winners one week being tail enders next. Next week looks like a lottery.
Hi all, Slight tweak to this week's triple Sprint. It is now mandatory that you start each race on a different tire, meaning you must have a race on each of the softs, medium and hard tires. The lap count had been reduced to 7 Laps per race, and Initial Fuel to 50L.
Hi all, I'd like to go over some things quickly that have been talking points of the last few weeks/rounds. I'm all about transparency here so let's clear the air. Track Limits This week we will run with track limits on weak for the first time on GT7. This means you will have to learn the PD enforced limits and wear the consequences of going over the mark. Whilst the PD limits themselves cannot be overruled by the Stewards, if another driver pushes you into a penalty, you can protest them, the minimum penalty being 5s. Redressing Redressing had always been a courteous way of putting your hand up and admitting fault in any incident, but it's time we re jig that expectation. For drivers who redress small incidents where only time is lost, no further positions, drivers at fault will receive a verbal warning from the Stewards. Redressed incidents where cars lose bulk time or track position, even if redressed, may now come with a time penalty as well. This is to ensure no one is tempted to try audacious moves with the thought that "oh if it doesn't work I will just redress" As always, I expect the room captains to be looking at the room replays and reporting back to me with any incidents they believe I should be looking at. Nothing is a waste of my time! Thankyou to those who have been patient with the system and continue to ask questions. You guys are the reason this system and league continues to grow and improve! Cheers, Liam
When I read this I thought tonight would be a good clean race. Unfortunately, it didn't take long that thought to be proven wrong. Qually, people fighting to pass like the world would end which ended up in an accident and interfering with others on a clean lap. It just continued in the races, people driving like they have to pass no matter what. It reminded me of driving in the daily races. In the last race I got pushed off track and into the wall at the start\finish line and then watched the car that pushed me off track just continue to drive off like nothing happened. I don't know about anyone else, but I race in here for fun and I'm not having any fun at all. I'm at the point where I think I might just start driving like an A hole and crash into everyone all the time.
