Unfortunately I'm going to miss next week. Something to do with the wife's birthday celebrations. I tried, but couldn't get out of it :).

I had quite a good session last night. I was a little surprised to be on the back after qualifying. Obviously the field is starting to get used to using RM.

The first lap started of well, getting up to 6th until we came to the bus stop (is it still called that?). Got a small tap which pushed me wide, so back to the back. Had a good run though the field, mostly helped by a few leaving the black stuff and the others making pit stops (34 seconds must have felt like an age, sitting there doing nothing). It was the last two laps that were very tense. My tyres were getting a little slippy and Razor was hunting me down at about a second a lap which would have put him on my defenseless tail with a lap to go. Fortunately he never got that close, phew!!

I was really impressed with driving of everyone during the overtakes I made. Most done two abreast through corners with very little paint swapping.

    Cheers.

Sorry for getting in your way when i lost the back end at Turn (12 Pouhon) on lap one. It really set you back and was all my fault. I watched the replay and cars were diving everywhere to miss me and some got a raw deal because of it. I know to be more patient but it just happened. Went from 2nd to last, managed to finish 4th RS for 10 and RM for 9 which was my plan from the beginning
Really appreciate the room you gave me when i was making my way back through the field. Good awareness and fair racing.
Had a few little battles along the way and the race seemed to pass very quickly. Only finishing 7 sec behind the lead (oh what could have been if not for the stupid error) as they say , that’s racing
Congrats to the podium and to @Ian Cannan for an impressive win on the no stop from the back.
See you all next race. Cheers :):(:)

    Yeah well done guys!
@Beats143 that was hairy! just missed you and seen the chaos in the little mirror

For me it was a tough and brutal race (RM no-stop.)
Had some good battles and held P3 and P2 tucking in behind the soft runners early.
I was actually in a good position to get decent podium (and being already in front of @Ian Cannan ) but my tyres were shredded as a consequence of pushing too hard too early. Dropping into the sand twice didn't help either.
    Onwards and upwards :)

@webnomad ... Turn 12 with @Beats143 and all was like a the parting of the seas for most you were unlucky there. I managed to get through and make some positions but went backwards shortly thereafter and watched @Ian Cannan "WHIZZ" on by! Spent some time trying to fend off @Blunty075 which was good although Blunty was gaining and would have got passed me regardless. However, decided to make it even easier and due to an error on my behalf coming out of turn 18 on lap 8 had a big spin out and ended up on the grass by the chicane, big DOH moment ... anyway pitted changed to RM forgot to select do not refuel to only increase what already is a long pit stop and completed the remainder of the race at the back. Here's to next week, cheers Hoges.

After 3 years away its been a challenge to get back up to speed and strategy.
Race 1 running 3rd had a good buffer to 4th and 10 laps to go and blew it onto the straight.
And had a dummy spit and pulled out. Lol
Race 2 started getting the feel for new setup and had a pretty good night till the last few laps and lost a few spots from ill attention.but a good result in the end.
Race 3 cruising in 4th good gap to 5th and pitted for the last stint.
    Then ha technical problem.
Finally spar a great track for me in the past had a few wins here over the years.
I thought some would go long,so i oppted for the flat out attack strategy .
Always thought i would haul in the leader. Left the pits in 7th and proceeded to put the head down.i rouned up peersy i 2nd with five to go.
Got 5sec lead down to to 1.8 then a few mistakes pushing to hard.
    A win gone begging.
But another night to fight again this week.
    Congrats to whizz great drive.

    Round 5: Sardegna - Road Track - B - 2x 16 Laps - 17:00 Fine Weather - 6/6 - Sprint
    [IMG]

    WELCOME to Season 15!!
As always please take 2 mins to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on race night.
If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask!

ROOM OPEN : Most room captains will 'try' to have rooms open by about 7:50 AEST. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, Within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.
QUALIFYING : 8:20 AEST for 10 mins. If a driver joins while qualifying mode is active, room captains will need to grab a quick photo of qualifying results, cancel the race and then set grid by host.
In practice mode, once 10 mins has been reached, finish the lap you are on and park up off track. (Qualifying mode should be used so the room can be set to x0 tyre/fuel for qualifying)
YOU MUST START ON YOUR QUALIFYING TYRE AND PITS ARE CLOSED DURING QUALIFYING

RACE START TIME : 8:30 AEST (once qualifying has completed)

LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS : This is up to the room host/captains. If there is a Disconnection (or cars stuck on grid) at race start, it is sporting to try to get them back in, which may mean a new room to be set up. I always look at 1 or 2 starts if required due to DSC, but as it gets later everyone needs to be aware of getting things going. Please be as reasonable as you can with this....
SIGHT ISSUES: Ensure that you can see everyone on track. Before qualifying, exit to lobby and spend 30 seconds in spectate mode, scroll through the list of drivers on track and make sure that you can see their car. If you can't see somebody (and they are confirmed as being on track), exit the lobby, re-join, and check again.

FALSE START CHECK : Please note that the start type is Grid Start with False Start Check
Please practice this so you know what to expect. Simply, you hold the brakes on until the lights go from all lit, to none lit

TURN 1 LAP 1 : This has the potential to ruin someone's night if we don't use our heads! Should be everyone's goal to get through the first phase with ZERO contact. Give room and run in your 'lane' till you have space to run the normal race line. If your unassisted tap causes someone to spin, you need to redress.

TRACK LIMITS : As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage.
The main corner to be aware of is the final right hand kink coming onto the straight

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.
If you bump someone and they end up off track or teleport back to the corner entry, you must wait for them to rejoin and get back up to speed.
Show each other RESPECT! It is difficult enough to drive the car at the limit on your own, without someone squeezing you within a millimeter of the grass.
So be patient and show respect to your fellow drivers.
If you are redressing contact, please do so out of the way of other cars, off the racing line, or if there isn't much room, off track.

    TYRES : Racing SOFTS ONLY

PIT ENTRY : Please attempt to follow the pit entry lane. Failure to do so may result in a penalty (especially in the instance another driver is affected).

PIT EXIT : Please attempt to follow the pit exit lane, Penalties will be adjudicated in similar fashion to Pit Entry. Please be aware of cars approaching on the straight. Be careful when exiting that you don't move across the track impeding incoming cars. For cars on the straight, please give room to drivers as they exit the pits.
    NOTE: Pitting is NOT COMPULSORY

(a BANG LAP will show an ideal pitstop later in the week)

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : This season the steward will be @Hatfield. If you have reason to protest, please SAVE YOUR REPLAY, and then let him know via a PM.
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem. You have until MIDNIGHT, Monday night to register your protest via PM. Stewards will ask for video evidence from both drivers or room captain to make any decision.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved!

PARKING UP : If you are unable to continue to race, please enter the pits and leave your game paused without selecting tyres (or no tyres) so that your car stays parked in the pits. Parking up off track activates yellow flags in the sector, and even though penalties are off, we have reports of penalties occurring for passes happening near the parked car.

FINAL NOTE: Could all drivers please confirm their attendance for this Sunday by 'liking' this post in your division. If you are unable to attend, please post in reply as much in your division. This way we can figure out our reserves or if the room can start early in advance.
(ALSO IF YOU KNOW YOU CANNOT ATTEND, PLEASE POST SAYING SO, SO THAT RESERVES CAN BE ORGANISED IN ADVANCE)
If you do not post in your room thread or psn chat that you cannot attend, a spot may not be held for you for the following weeks race

    SPRINT ROUND:
The sprint round race 1 is worth full points, race 2 is reverse grid from race 1 and worth half points. Your points from both races are tallied, and the round results are ordered. This order determines the actual round points allocated in the championship table. Pole/Fastest lap points are then allocated. (FL is the best lap of the night, not from each race)
PLEASE BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL with the second race with your overtakes and remember to redress incidents you cause

For some reason I was unable to find your lobby. Even if I backed out to main screen.

    Hi Div 4,
I just want to apologize for the disruptions between races during the sprint round. I know I am the room back up but I've never actually ran a room before so wasn't exactly sure what I needed to do.
I always make sure I have a room prepped ready to go but never expect to need it so when everyone started arriving in my practice session I didn't know what was happening then I saw the messages in our Divisions PS party chat. So I hope everyone was ok with the minor disruption.
The race itself wasn't enjoyable IMO, I think this should've been a single 32 lap race. I'd like to apologize for any contact etc I may have had with other drivers, I'm still trying to perfect my braking behind other vehicles, and later in each race I was really struggling with control of my vehicle, as soon as my tyres get past a quarter of wear I have massive problems controlling the vehicle as I get massive compression lock up FML. Other than that I'd like to thank everyone that I raced near for driving competitively and with great sportsmanship. It was a great feeling being able to race knowing the cars around me were doing there best to drive properly.

I thought you done a great job. It was fun to race against you. 1st race I was conservative for the tyres but the second race I just went hammer and tong
