@emmo46 and others, I've had a few practices with the Zonda, is anyone else finding it has pronounced under-steer?
Thanks for heads up. I'm yet to try it. I was just gonna leave it a surprise for myself come Sunday night.
Yeah, it needs to be coaxed to the apex early or you will miss it. Also the power on under steer has to be allowed for on corner exit. It definitely has more rear grip than front and can't be hustled.
Ahhhh, so I don't actually own the Zonda .. don't really wanna splash out on it unless it becomes season 7's car so I'll be out for Sunday. Sorry for the late notice
There's a chance I can make it so put me down as a reserve. No practice, never driven this car, what could go wrong?
thanks for racing tonight all Good race against @NAACS too bit of understeer at times, and oversteer too but handled ok next week test the EF7 http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/gt-sport-ef7-test-race-21-4.3624/
I had a great early brief battle with Bryan and Whizz until they drove off into the distance, towards the pit stop I gained on Incey and was hoping to have a battle. When we came out of the pits dermot got between us and that left Incey to build a gap but over the last quarter of the race I seem to have better tires and closed right up and we had a very good battle. At one point I got past him but then he put this mega run from the 2nd hairpin and rounded me up around the outside going towards to double right towards the end of the lap. It surprised me so much I ran into the back of him as he braked for the corner. I redressed and we got stuck back into it again but then his tires let him down and I was able to make a pass. It was a fantastic battle and I hope @incey enjoyed it as much as I did. This car isn't as bad as I thought it might be and I was able to race closely with a number of drivers. I some how fluked a high 1:51 when I was generally lapping high 52s and low 53s. I did struggle a bit with consistency but practice should iron that out if this is the season car.
That was good fun. Couldn't hook up a quali lap so started lower than I wouldve liked, Picked up a few places and grabbed 3rd to have a front row seat for @Noremac vs @KeedenMcdonald which was a brilliant scrap. Followed norm into the pits and didn't take tires to play with strategy a bit, Probably cost me 2nd but good to see what the car is like on worn tires. Really hoping we use this car for the season, I think its a lot more fun than the EF7 and will be more rewarding in the racing
