    Hi

I'm thinking of taking on a little project ( I'm on parental leave and going nuts ) i was thinking of building a wheel and control box similar to this http://opensimwheel.wikidot.com/

I'm an industrial Sparky with a background in automation so i hope i can do it.

My question has any body else here tried it.

I have read up on it, but not tried it.

Here is a good video showing how it stacks up against the the supposed "cream of the crop" wheels:

I've seen a few videos and done a bit of reading. They look good to me.

I'm going to start by making some button boxes and a few little cockpit add on's. But i can see me building one soon. I've asked suppliers for some quotes to see if i can lower the cost a little.

    Cheers for the Replies

    Thanks guys

For those interesting im going to be doing a Ioni 1x build It kinda the budget model. The only place i found that has the good info is the iRacing Forums Unfortunately that means a subscription which i foolishly did. On the bright side the info was there that answered enough questions for me to give it a go.

Ill continue to post as i go but i wont do a build log there is a heap on info on that out there already.
