The opening hole is a long and difficult Par 5 that can be reached in 2 shots, but you have to reach the furthest fairway with a fade to have any chance. The fairways are all surrounded by water so you must be accurate with every shot. The putting surface slopes heavily toward the back. [IMG]

Hole 2’s best spot off the tee is straight down the middle with a fairway wood. From there you should have a simple wedge onto an undulating green. [IMG]

The third hole is a split fairway dogleg left Par 4. The safe play is to play to the open right, but the narrow left fairway can provide a much easier approach shot. The green is narrow and protected by 2 bunkers.

The 4th is a challenging Par 3 that plays between the rocks. The green is huge but hard to hold, as you must carry the water and an enormous bunker. [IMG]

The Par 4 5th hole requires the player to make a few decisions off the tee. You need to find the fairway and do so in such a way that you’ll have an unobstructed second shot. The putting surface is very shallow, and is more receptive to short irons. [IMG]

#6 isn’t too difficult of a hole if you play to the plateau on the right side. Missing left will almost certainly result in your second being blocked out by the rock formations. [IMG]

Hole 7 is a short Par 5 with many alternate routes to the hole. Blasting it to the lonesome narrow fairways will leave a very short approach to the green, but playing to the left is a safer option, as long as you avoid the sand and large mound. Regardless, this plays as the easiest hole on the course. [IMG]

Keep right on this Par 4 8th hole or you’ll be blocked out on your approach shot by the rock formations. The green is unreceptive due to its shallowness, so be sure to add a little bit of backspin.

The amazing 9th hole is a downhill Par 3 with all the emphasis on club selection. This enormous green is generous for accuracy, but distance control is everything. Double check your calculations and attack the pin.

The 10th is another dogleg right Par 5 with alternate routes to the hole. Hazards are aplenty so prioritise accuracy over raw power. The putting surface features a humped spine, so the putt will almost always slope away from the hole. [IMG]

The incredible 11th is a horseshoe dogleg left Par 4. Bomb the tee shot as far around the corner as you dare to make the approach shot easier. Of course, there is a shortcut to this green, but it’s a brave shot if you can pull it off, and it doesn’t guarantee a birdie by any stretch of the imagination. [IMG]

#12 will test your accuracy and shot shaping abilities. The extremely narrow green is blind from the tee due to the rock formations and demands a fade, but too much slice and you’ll find the bunker. [IMG]

Once again the 13th demands a decision off the tee. The pesky rock formations will be an obstacle for your second shot, but there is a bail out area to the left if you’re not confident in reaching the green. [IMG]

The 14th is similar in design to the 3rd hole. Left of the rocks will gift you a shorter approach, but the right side is safer. [IMG]

While the tee shot is blind, the 15th is a relatively simple Par 3. Just avoid the two bunkers on each side and you’re home free. [IMG]

The 16th is a very tough Par 4. Ice and rocks seperate the fairways but can provide favourable bounces for those daring to take them on. It’s a tough approach if you miss however, as the green is particularly unreceptive due to the bunkers eating into the putting surface. [IMG]

The penultimate hole is a dogleg left Par 4 with rock formations obstructing the tee shot this time. If you can hit your drive with enough of a draw you can cut a significant amount of distance off the hole. But you risk the large bunker and the water if you do so. The green is generous enough but can have some very tight pins. [IMG]

The Par 5 finishing hole is unlike any 18th you have ever played. It’s takes place entirely inside a cave. Visibility is limited with light only piercing through small alcoves, so be sure of your target and hit it straight. The scattered fairways are surrounded by water so it is easy to rack up a big score. The green is out in the open, relatively flat but is surrounded by rocks and out of bounds. [IMG]

    Wuhu Island Shootout
    Jun 30 - Jul 5
    Course: Wii Sports Resort
    Par: 72
    Rounds 4:
Course Difficulty: 5/10: This famous layout provides a perfect mixture of easy holes, challenging holes and all in between. It’s simple, but don’t be fooled. The course has a knack for tripping you up when you least expect it.
    Predicted Winning Score: -40

In late 2006 Nintendo took the world by storm with its new motion controls focused console, the Wii. Paired with its glorified tech demo, Wii Sports, Nintendo broke sales records. While it was just essentially a Gamecube with a remote, the Wii was the must have console, and sooner or later, EVERYONE had played Wii Sports. Featured in the game was a 9 hole golf course, a course that became progressively harder until the clubhouse. In 2009 Wii Sports Resort was released, featuring the MotionPlus attachment for improved control. A new nine was added, and thus in 2K21, you will tackle this course in updated glory.

    Canyon Medallion
    Jul 7 - 13
    Course: Copperhead Canyon
    Par: 72
    Rounds: 4
Course Difficulty: 7.5/10: This course has some of the craziest fairways and awe inspiring approaches you’ll ever see, however on many of the holes, you’ll be able to attack the pin with little more than a short iron. You still need to be accurate though. OB and rocks pose a threat on almost every hole. Plan ahead with every shot, and you’ll come out a winner.
    Predicted Winning Score: -25

What do you do when you buy land in the Grand Canyon? Build a crazy golf course of course! Copperhead Canyon was the very first fantasy course designed for the Tiger Woods series, appearing all the way back in PGA Tour 2002! Weaving its way through the cliffs, buttes and rock formations, this course is the ultimate test of course management and shot shaping. The course does provide plenty of scoring chances, and bookended by the infamous 18th, Copperhead Canyon is a desert course with a wicked spice of flavour.

The opening hole is a straightaway Par 4 that slopes in on itself. Don’t take on the second fairway as a stream crosses the fairway and is blind from the tee. The green is very shallow and protected by
    2 bunkers. [IMG]

Hole 2 is a short Par 5 but don’t think for a second a birdie is guaranteed. This hole curves right around the canyon and each shot is blocked by the rock formations. The fairway is split at several points by the man made stream so accuracy is everything. Be sure to account for overhanging rocks on your approach shots and escape with your scorecard intact. [IMG]

This Par 3 shouldn’t be too difficult for most players providing they can translate elevation changes. The downhill tee shot should be placed short of the pin as the green slopes from front to back, more severely in the back half of the green. [IMG]

Hole 4 is a tricky Par 4 that places a premium on accuracy. If you take driver off the tee you can have an easy approach shot but you risk hitting it into deep rough and the bunker. Laying up brings the arch into play, and needs a draw to avoid it. The stream weaves its way in front of the green, and more often than not slurps up golf balls that are underhit. [IMG]

This Par 4 is made difficult due to the stream returning, this time splitting the fairway all along the right side. To make matters worse, the green is also compromised, resulting in an extremely difficult approach shot if the pin is back left. [IMG]

This insane Par 5 looks tough, because it is tough. But with some grit, you can walk away with a birdie. Ignore the hidden right fairway, and blast the ball down the left side. If you can avoid the bunkers, you can setup a daring approach shot over the canyon into an extremely small green protected by a bunker. And the canyon obviously. [IMG]

Hole 7 is a dogleg right Par 4 with a giant rock right in the middle. You’ll have to either blast a driver down the left past the bunker or a fairway wood down the narrow path on the right if you want to resch this green in regulation. This is a really difficult hole so you need to play intelligently to avoid a blowout. [IMG]

The 8th is a demanding Par 3 over the canyon with a huge green. But the green slopes heavily from back left to front right so you must be accurate to steer the ball toward the hole. Putting is at a premium here. [IMG]

Hole 9 is a very tough Par 4. You need to look where the pin is before your tee shot, as you’ll need your tee shot to correlate with the correct fairway, otherwise you’ll be blocked out by the rocky landmark that fronts the green. Even worse, the green slopes off in both directions. Good luck getting birdie on this hole.

The inward nine commences with a long Par 5 with a spectacular drop off into the abyss all among the left side. The canyon eating into the fairway makes bombing it off the tee impossible, and rocks on the right force you it a fade. The green is enormous, and fronted by a natural rock pile, but don’t go in there, it’s OB. [IMG]

After a few crazy holes, 11 is a somewhat return to normality. It’s an uphill dogleg left Par 4 with all sorts of weaves into sides of the fairway and an abundance or bunkers. The green is very shallow so make sure your approach lands high and soft. [IMG]

#12 is a difficult Par 3 that is downhill all the way. Rocks block the entire left side of the green so if the pin is located there, you’ll need to hit a draw off the tee. This green is enormous, but this is anything but easy. You’ll be fortunate to walk away with a birdie. [IMG]

Hole 13 is a short Par 4 that dog legs to the right. Just take a fairway wood off the tee, there’s no need to risk the boulders blocking your approach with an aggressive drive. The green is narrow and slopes from back to front, and flanked by two bunkers. [IMG]

The pesky stream returns on Hole 14, splitting the fairway into 4(!) sections. You must be deadly accurate with the tee shot, as you’ll want to avoid taking a drop. The green is shaped like an apostrophe, and is protected by the stream on the left. [IMG]

The last Par 3 demands another draw off the tee if the pin is tucked left. The green is engulfed by a horseshoe bunker, and is unreceptive to low lofted shots. Birdies are rare here. [IMG]

The 16th is a dog left left Par 4 where maximum distance off the tee is not the best play. Use the slope of the fairway to roll the ball down to the end, where you’ll have a simple uphill approach onto the green. The green is protected by a huge bunker at the front and slopes heavily from back to front.

The penultimate hole ends with a drivable Par 4 with water all along the right side. The ball must carry the the cliff face in order to reach the green, but it’s a tall order for it to stop. Best to lay up and attack the pin with a wedge in hand. [IMG]

As is often the case with these fantasy courses, the finishing hole is a disgustingly long Par 5. And at 840 yards, this is easily the longest of the lot. Concentrate on getting the tee shot as far up the fairway as possible to make the second shot easier. The second shot needs to avoid the many bunkers if you want reach the green in regulation. Aim for the fat part of the fairway, and you just might be able to reach the green on your third shot. But alas, it will require a strong 3 wood or even driver to carry the bunker that fronts the green. Get out of here with a birdie and you’ll be dancing. Of course, there is a shortcut to the green, but do you dare attempt it? [IMG]

    14 - 19 Jul
    Course: Acacia Cliffs

Yeah I’ve tried this in a few events (namely BCG Classic & Marwick Head Shootout), but the delay between shots makes it fairly unenjoyable imo.

    African International
    21 - 26 Jul
    Course: Safari CC
    Par: 72
    Rounds: 4
Difficulty: 7/10: Whilst not terribly difficult, you will face some very long Par 4’s, Par 3’s that require a fairway wood, and two 3-shot Par 5’s, so scoring is tough. Watch out for steep inclines and severe drop offs around the greens, accuracy and patience is key to mastering this tricky layout.

Safari CC is the final fantasy course created for the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series, appearing in the 2007 edition. And of all of the crazy fantasy designs of the series, this one is definitely the most grounded, and the easiest. Still, don’t underestimate the challenge, as you’ll still have to face the usual quirks of these insane courses, albeit on a smaller scale. Set in a wild safari resort in Kenya, the course is wide open, but make sure you find the fairway or else!

The opening hole is a long and difficult Par 4 that’s uphill all the way. You’ll almost certainly have an uphill lie so be sure to account it on your second shot. Be sure to carry the bunker, as you’ll be faced with a tough up and down if you don’t.

A deep valley splits the fairway on this Par 4 so take a wood off the tee and avoid the 2 fairway bunkers. A long iron into a small green needs to land short of the pin to ensure you don’t roll off the slope at the back.

A dangerous Par 3 where those who take too much club will find themselves swimming with sharks. Not to mention the 3 large bunkers that flank the green. Just aim for the middle and hope for a 2 putt. [IMG]

Another hole where danger splits the fairway. Once again, take a wood off the tee to avoid the massive fairway bunker. You wont be able to clear it with a driver. Alas this hole becomes a 3 shotter. The fairway is narrow so accuracy is key. [IMG]

Water comes into play all along the right side of the long Par 4 5th. You’ll need to take on the bunker on the left if you plan on getting home in regulation. 3 small bunkers defend this green, significantly reducing angles of attacking the pin.

Hole 6 is a Par 3 that features a very shallow green that slopes sharply from right to left from the middle, with water surrounding the green. Bunkers fronting the green will prove difficult to escape from. Play a fade into this green to add a little bit more spin.

This dogleg left Par 4 is another hole that forces you to play conservatively off the tee. Avoid the large fairway bunker at all costs. You’ll have a tricky lie for the uphill approach shot so be sure to check your lie indicator. The green may be free from hazards, but it is extremely shallow.

The spectacular 8th may appear to be a short Par 5, but it dawns on the player that it is anything but. Blast the tee shot down the left side of the fairway, and be sure to club up on the second to deal with the truly insane incline. Watch for the cliff as anything right will be out of bounds. Eagles are possible but not common. [IMG]

This short Par 4 to end the front nine is driveable off the tee depending on the wind. But if you miss short, you’ll be faced with an extremely tough pitch from below the green. Be sure to attack the correct side, as you may be forced to put around the slope that eats into the rear of the green. [IMG]

The inward nine begins with a Par 4 with natural rock formations coming into play. However if you let the ball roll down to the end of the fairway you should have a relatively simple up and down. You don’t want to miss this green, as the steep slope off the green is particularly treacherous. [IMG]

A difficult Par 3 known for being a card wrecker. Do not go long here otherwise you could end up OB. You’ll have to land it short here, anywhere else is certain disaster. Par is something to celebrate here. [IMG]

Thankfully what follows is a simple Par 4 with only some quirky bunkerage surrounding the green to pose some sort of resistance. You should be able to attack the green with a wedge, and thus the 12th is comfortably the easiest hole on the course. [IMG]

The 13th is a very long Par 5 that can’t be reached in two. The fairway narrows all the way until you’re left with a wedge approach. It is absolutely crucial you land the ball short of the pin or with a fair degree of spin as the green slopes very hard to the back and will roll off more often than not. Putting is difficult here as you can imagine. [IMG]

Another long Par 4, the 14th features a wide fairway, but to have the best angle at the green, you need to thread the needle between the water and the tiny bunker. The approach will be long and over sand, so being as far right as possible will give you the best chance at a birdie. [IMG]

15 is a brutal uphill Par 4 with a zig zagging fairway. You’ll need to get the ball as far up the fairway as you can as the second shot is all uphill. Be sure to add some spin, as going over the back is almost certain OB. Don’t fret about laying up short of the pin. [IMG]

The 16th is the signature hole at Safari CC. An island green perched on top of a giant waterfall, the tee shot is as difficult as it is spectacular. The green is massive but extremely undulating, so don’t be surprised to walk away with a 3 putt bogey. [IMG]

The penultimate hole allows the player to blast his tee shot into a banking fairway to setup an uphill approach into a perched green. A deep bunker is the green’s main defence and will catch any ball left short.

The finishing hole is a medium length Par 5 that’s reachable in 2. A stream forks its way through the fairway at certain points, but shouldn’t come into play. A big second shot should be able to get you on in two, but will almost certainly leave you a massive putt to finish. [IMG]

Unfortunately (or fortunately), due to 2K’s reluctance of divulging any information on the new game, it seems the season will be extended. My original plan was to run tournaments up until August as it would coincide with a predicted 2K23 release, however we haven’t even seen a reveal trailer or anything of the sort, so keep an eye out for a few new events with some courses from career mode, a few of my favourites, and maybe even a mini golf event!

I’m also open to course suggestions, as long as it’s not one of those Par 7 courses or ones with impossible to complete holes.
