I just realised this conflicts with the Monday tuning League. Also Cyber is it alright if you can Host the room? I know its kinda stupid as I thought of the race but its just incase i haven't got my net sorted by then, if i do then Ill be fine to host it.
Count me in, the CSL and GTR have a lot more power than the standard M3!!. I have 'em all so will race what ever goes quickest. I assume we can change wheels/colours
Ill cap the PP at around 470 but ill do some testing to find the best solution. Yes colours and wheels can be changed to what ever you like.
I Guess we could change it to Tuesday so it doesnt conflict. Also im considering changing the grid to Reverse grid in order of Divison and position in championship(which would go from the latest round closest to the race date).
They have the following PP as they come from the UCD BMW - M3 '04 461 to 469 for a low miler BMW - M3 CSL '03 481 to 489 BMW - M3 GTR '03 488 to 497 If you peg them at 470 that will make them fairly even, the only difference will come from handling, I don't recall if the CSL or GTR have aero aids, some of their PP may come from that. Either way a quick test will tell which car each wants to drive. There may be variances in tyre wear/fuel consumption etc.
I don't think reverse grid will make much difference in an enduro, might spice up the first few laps though. A Tuesday is a problem for me unless you move the start back to 8:30. Wednesday would be better although we are getting away from the long weekend idea. I would be happy with the Monday, I guess it depends how many of the tuning series guys are going to be involved and if they mind missing a night of the tuner events.
This could involve a lot of testing, there are which car and which tyre to sort out to be competitive.
The GTR and CSL both don't jave adjustable aero but they both weight 1350Kg compared to the standard M3s 1570Kg However the Standard M3 will have about 360bhp at this PP where as the other two will be around 320.
Deep forest is very hard on the tyres so i think with wear on very fast every tyre will have its advantages. Ill try make a Lobby tonight and see how they wear. The standard M3 will likely wear more then others and might have a slightly slower lap time and if thats the case ill make it Mandatory for the faster guys to use.
What about the faster guys (namely you) run a standard M3 on comfort hards and the rest get to run GTRs on Racing softs just kiddin'
I thought that would probably be it. I hope you get a good roll up. The more the merrier, Close and Ad2 (the other two of the 3 amigos) will probably jump on this.
The aim this time is too be much closer then the Suzuka Enduro and add some more strategy so not all is lost if you fall a bit behind.
Where is it, this Race Calender you speak of? ( I hope this isn't a dumb question but I don't believe I've seen it.) :8
