So far I have the Integra, Mazda 6 and BMW, I have set them all to 285 BHP and 1190 Kg and they ended up with different PP. The BMW (RWD) has the most and the Integra (FWD) the least. The Mazda (4WD) is in the middle. I haven't had time to test them yet, which track would you suggest I compare them on?
Grand Valley East would be a good track i think, its small and simple and should highlight the differences between the cars if there is any.
Im thinking of just going for a 5 round season at first only small tracks: Grand Valley East Autumn Ring Suzuka east Monaco(Enduro to Resemble Macau) Nurburgring GP/D This is just provisional got any ideas please post them up.
Shucks, I just tested the other way but I don't think it matters that much. These are the results with them all set at 285 BHP and 1190 Kg. BMW 485 PP 1:08.352 (well balanced and a joy to drive) pulled 225 KPH at end of straight. Integra 469 PP 1:09.403 (little bit of corner entry understeer but that can be managed) 221 KPH at the end of straight. Mazda 6 481 PP 1:11.481 (lots of understeer into and out of the corner) 223 KPH. I stumbled upon another possible contender, The Celica SSII (ZZT231) 03, with the same setting it ran 1:08.073. It was a little less stable than the others and got 226 at the end of the straight.
try them with maximum downforce, as that can also effect everything as well. also the Celica isn't a race car and doesn't have downforce at the front, it wouldn't suit the series. ill do some testing this weekend of all the cars with my best sets on each one and see what happens. Ill likely be looking at taking HP away though.
All good, I haven't played with tuning yet. If I can get the understeer out of the Mazda by tuning diffs and or roll bars etc I might be able to get closer to the other cars, I should have the Altezza in a couple of days and will see how it performs.
Played with the Mazda diffs, front aero and roll bars and got down to low 10s. I would like to run this car but can't get it to go quick enough. The BMW looks the business at the moment.
I wouldn't be too worried about whether a car is fast or not as over the course of the season as we will be trying to equal everything up, but you will be comprised for the first race. Have you Tried the IS200 GT-1?
It is too far off in the UCD cycle, I should have the Altezza in a day or too, just depends how quickly I can spin the UCD cycle, did you get the spreadsheet?
Yes i got it, might take me awhile to find where i am at though. Also would you guys like to change the Regulations to allow turbos and i can bring quite a few more cars with these Down force specs that fit in perfectly. example: Nissan Silvia Spec R RM Blitz ER34 D1 Spec AEM S2000 etc

I think Banning the Altezza might be best and the rest can be equalized much better without some extreme detuning.
I don't mind if you add more cars, although I might get bewildered with choice, I have the Blitz, not sure about the others. WOW those times are impressive, are they set with or without tuning?
They are with tuning, also ill add the Impreza TC as it also fits this Downforce level. I might take away the fast and slow cars off the list so we know the cars allowed are close to each other.
List updated, I got rid of the Integra and the Altezza as they where too slow and too fast. and added all the other cars I Tested so now there is 10 Different cars you can choose.
Geez, that's nearly as demoralising, my times are on racing mediums. I've got my work cut out for me here
