    in total it cost me;
$20 for the metal frame which was a government fax table or something from a recycle shop,
$25 for 2 Lancer EVO bucket seats from a salvage yard,
aluminium door grill behind the seat $2 from salvage yard,
carpet was a freebie from when i did sign work at the local NAB bank,
all the timber was free as well from local kitchen fab shop as they are all packing sheets 16-18mm MDF,
about $15 on screws and stables,
    $12 for the black paint,
the custom sticker and detail all free as i did myself ,
the 32 inch LCD tv $348,
    G27 steering wheel setup $320,
the 5500watt Sony Surround is 9 years old cost me $2500 at the time, it has 12 inch car sub wired up to it behind the aluminium grill which sits behind the seat (DAM it rumbles the :):):):) of ya fillings when ur in gutsy V8 on GT5)

I have now added the support braces to it. It is taking a little getting used to the change in wheel position (sits alot higher) but it has stiffened everything up and seems I am a little faster because of it: no more flexing cockpit!

Rumbles, how do you like the Next Level cockpits mate? I'd love to get a cockpit but don't wanna spend a ridiculous amount of money on one, Playseat's are pretty well out of the question as the older ones had that annoying pole inbetween your legs and the new ones are more expensive than the Next Level setup's.

Snake I've got one and it's great. Takes up a little bit more space and is a bit more involved to put together but that's just a one time out of the box effort.

They're really sturdy and nice geometry. The seats feel alot better quality than my old playseat one. Plus there's optional accessories (that you can't get for all cockpits) like the mouse and keyboard stand, and monitor stands. I got the mouse and keybourd stand and it's pretty handy. Not perfect, but much better than using your lap and the floor!

My only gripe, and it's a small one, is that I'm limited to having the shifter on the left hand side only. I used to enjoy swapping that back and forth on the playseat.

Yeah I reckon I'll pick one up at some point, feels wrong having an expensive wheel and pedal setup and not having anything permanent to bolt it too, I'm currently using a saw horse to mount the wheel on, it's ridonkulous!

Koastr has pretty much said all I could say. My V1.0 didn't have pre-drilled wheel or shifter mount, but I was able to easily find a bolt hole template on Logitech's forums and drilled it myself. The seats are nice and comfy (faux leather (synthetic)) and the adjustable back/seat slide is more than enough. If I had long legs it may be a bit of a different story but the base frame has a little amount of adjust-ability in it when you bolt it up to cater for that if you are lanky.

As I said, mine is the V1.0 which I purchased new in late 2010 (bought it for GT5) but the V2.0 looks like it is pretty much the same except they have been drilled for G25/27 + the screws to attach them. It was definitely a value for money purchase that I never regret.

Sorry for making it sound like a mini-review I think it is that good :)
