    Hey m8
Firstly how much you looking at spending ???

the 2 wheels that come to my head straight up is The Driving Force GT
if you have a little more Logitec G27 are the ducks guts for the price, $200-250...
but if you search the net you can sometimes pick these up cheaper..

Below is my set up, modified a fair bit, the rig is home built...
    wheel $300
Rig + seat less then $40
    MFD sheets + carpet FREE
    TB P11 headset $60
$'s spent on GROG building it UMMMMMM lost count after the 4th carton of beer and god only knows how many bottles of Bundy ]:D

So if you are a handy man with the tools, it's cheap as dirty and you get what you want...

I have a DFGT (retired for a G27) that I will give to you, if you cover the delivery costs. I don't know what part of the country you're in. So, the cost is unknown.
I don't want any money for it, all I'd ask is that you at least stay for a couple seasons and then I'll know it was worth it. :)
Email me if you are interested mate.

Weird thing is, I was a div 2 driver with the DFGT now i'm a div 3 on a G27. Not gonna blame the tools though. A good tradie would never do that.....

Keep in mind you should be able to get a new DFGT for $100 when they are on sale, shipping big boxes can be expensive.

Dick smith have them for $129 right now.

DFGT or if u can stretch it, G27

theyre pretty much the only two worthwhile in the "cheap" section of wheels

Hope you enjoy your new wheel. Note that it will feel wierd at first and you may initially be slower as you adjust but have patience. Also when you enter the track after turning game on you will need to pump brake pedal once to set it. It is a logitech thing. (My G27 needs to have all 3 pedals cycled in the lobby before hitting the track).
    Enjoy. :)

M1K1 , your a legend!! Your going to love this wheel Midron. I picked one up 2nd hand for $80 and used it for a while. I then went out and got a G27, the G27 is sitting in the box as I MUCH prefer the DFGT wheel. The ffb is much stronger on the DFGT (with GT5) and seems to be much smoother driving. The pedals let it down though. I got a set of alloy pedal covers and drilled them into the plastic pedals ( I now have alloy pedals :)) and I also popped a squash ball under the brake pedal arm , provides great resistance and feel. Awesome wheel

The DFGT is awesome for GT5, the only thing that lets it down is the dead zone... the wheel moves left/right a bit and seems like there is no center. If it did have a center, probably could be modified to feel that way, it would be the ultimate cheap package for Gran Turismo, it still is but the lack of center dead zone killed it for me, you get used to it.
