Season 10 GT6, 4 PCars, & 8 AC Teams Championship

The Teams Championship is a friendly, yet fiercely contested fight-within-a fight on the Raceonoz site and has been a major success over the past seasons. 8 teams entered in Season 10 of GT6, Season 4 of Project Cars and for the first time in the Teams Championships history, Season 8 of Assetto Corsa over on the PC. Money was distributed to the teams based on the previous seasons results, with NLR being given the smallest budget at $330, whilst SPL_Racing’s BHR team was rolling in money with $400 after receiving the wooden spoon last season. How would things pan out this time around? Well…. Let’s go to round 1 and find out!

Bruce Hale Racing entered the season with the largest Driver Line up of any team, 20 drivers representing the team alone whilst Next Level Racing and the Gamesmen Racing Team entered with the least, at 14 apiece. Round 1 however went to none of those teams as Pagnian Racing Team leapt to the top of the table helped by a 52 point haul by B-Spec-Bob in GT6 Division 1 with the Joker, helping to a total points haul 9 more than second placed RZR racing. Selby Acoustics Racing had a tough start to the season as they made 106 points, leaving them trailing by 73 after a single round.

Round 2 was next up as team captains tried to rev their drivers up and begin motivating them to push that little harder to improve their title standings. Next Level Racing, ROOZ racing and The Gamesmen Racing Team all played their jokers to perfection as their drivers picked up race wins, however it was 164 points to BHR that took out the biggest points haul of any team, allowing it to leap into second whilst Turn Left Racing had a nightmare, claiming only 86 points which meant the Wooden Spoon was now temporarily theres.

The Teams Championship may feature huge points tally’s each week, however that does not mean we don’t end up with a close championship fight. How can I prove that? As the teams left Round 3 towards the halfway point of the season, we didn’t just have a tie at the top of the leaderboard, but a three-way-tie for the top spot. 467 points was the lucky number for ROOZ Racing who stormed their way to the top with a stellar Round 3 compared to its rivals, Bruce Hale Racing joined them on 467 points, whilst Next Level Racing also decided they liked the number 467. Round 4 marks the halfway point of the season, and this is how the title looked? This was going to be a remarkable run to the finish line in Round 7!

Pagnian Racing Team were not liking the fact they weren’t able to also be on 467 points after 3 rounds, so with the team driving like a bat out of hell, they hit back hard in Round 4 with a whopping 183 point haul to throw themselves up the leader board all the way to second place, helped by their joker, Garyw61’s victory. The problem was, just a single point behind them for the round was Bruce Hale Racing who managed to snatch the title lead after RZR and NLR suffered a tough break. 3 rounds to go, with a drop round of course, this was easier said than done to make a run-away victory happen!

However BHR did their best, repeating their Round 4 score with another 182 point haul in Round 5 which allowed them to be the first team to go over 800 points, let alone 830 points. Pagnian Racing Team trailed by 46 points, their joker picking up 42 points to BHR’s 50. NLR and RZR were slowly making progress toward second place as well, whilst Turn Left Racing was also beginning to make amends for a slow start to the season and slowly started to reel Selby Acoustics Racing back in. Hi-Tec Oils racing and The Gamesmen meanwhile appeared to be in a battle for a top 5 finish in the championship.

174 points went to Turn Left Racing in Round 6 to launch them out of the wooden spoon position on the Championship table as SAR struggled to make the penultimate round work to their advantage. Bruce Hale Racing made their title lead slightly bigger over second placed PRT, however Next Level Racing in third were beginning to make headway, but with just one round left, could anybody come close to denying BHR a first ever title? It was beginning to look unlikely with a 59 point lead and an already decent 6 round point haul to be counted with the drop rounds. TLR and HTO were the only drivers in Round 6 to score 50 points or more with their jokers as V8Power383 and VARDZ’s play the cards right.

However in Round 7 it became apparent that there would be no stopping Bruce Hale Racing. Cruely denied the Teams Championship in Season 2/Season 8 of the series, they produced a stunning 176 point haul in the final round, along with being one of three teams to play their joker on a winning driver. Bruce Hale Racing finishes the season with 1015 points, a huge tally achieved by the teams 20 drivers. ROOZ Racing powered by Turtle Beach came home in Second in the championship with 972 points, whilst Next Level Racing and Pagnian Racing Team produced a photo finish and tied for third with 935 points. Selby Acoustics racing unfortunately pick up the wooden spoon for the Season, and will be fighting back with a large budget next season to rectify this. However, once again in ROOZ, it’s the number 51 that rises to the very top of the podium.

For Bruce.
