Would people prefer the handicap to be a delay to start time (note tyres will go cold waiting for 2 minutes) but everyone will finish on same lap and be close-ish,or;
Handicap be taken of total race time and then we would have qualifying

Personally I think the best option is to get the staggered start. Having quali doesn't really fit in with the format.

I'm actually starting to wonder how well this would work. Given that there's a handicap of up to 2:14, the last person to start will have ice cold tyres by the time they get going which will be a huge disadvantage. Then there will be varying levels of grip between them and the person who takes off first. I'm not sure how you'd go about properly calculating all of this accurately to ensure the handicap is actually implemented properly and fairly for all drivers.

ok. Will be staggered start, any volunteers for testing cold tyre time difference?

To get it right each individual driver would need to do it themselves because we all could have different abilities on cold tyres.
