ok, so had a run today and checked the settings and i did have it set to "rain" for qual...Apologies to all, my mistake
Turn 1 and last corner puddles are to be avoided at all costs. There's also a massive puddle around the middle of the main straight which will unsettle the car. Just don't try to fight that one and you'll be fine. The puddles around the rest of the track shouldn't be a worry.
Sometimes (cause it’s always different) there is a puddle on the apex of T4, this is also a of a puddle and eliminates passing into that turn unless you both run a wide line.
Do you have a practice session happening tonight, like to have bash if you have a position available hopefully haven't left it to late. PSN:fatmix68
ok guys...i hope you have had a chance to do some prac for this round.....the live track is quite a thing ! THIS IS IN ADDITION TO DRIVER BRIEFING ! IF you havent done many laps, there are puddles that form at TURN 1, SOMETIMES TURN 4, A RIVER ON THE LEFT SIDE ENTRY TO 10, A RIVER AT TIMES THROUGH 14 AND A BIG PUDDLE ON THE INSIDE OF 16 ! - QUAL : your fastest lap will prob come in the first 2...i have only seen once where the track actually dried a little for the last lap. Please be aware of this and it may be worthwhile trying to set your fastest with just a minute to go - RACE: The first stint is thunderstorm, so it puddles up pretty quick, but each room MAY be different.... PLEASE BE CAREFUL LAP 1 ! From lap 5 it starts to dry but you will still need to be aware of changes to the puddles. The last 2 weather slots (laps 13-23) fluctuates between very wet and drying. - IF YOU SPIN : please be careful of rejoining it traffic or where faster cars are coming up on you. - If you are passing someone, you need to take responsibility for avoiding puddles to make the pass....REALLY NEED TO USE YOUR HEADS GUYS......THERE IS PLENTY OF GRIP, BUT IT DOES CHANGE LAP TO LAP IN TERMS OF PUDDLES.... Really is a fantastic system, but need to be on your toes. Stu
DSC Mocha Mambo What a great race. The track had so much pace in the quali, my first hot lap after I found some clear track was a 57 and I was still 5th. Oh well. Got an awesome start moved up two spots until I realised that stupidly I was on the inside line. Sure enough through the puddle and around she goes all the way back to last. Had some great battles fighting my way back up through the pack with @Ford69xw and @arnold watson but especially @webnomad, the second of which I really struggled to find a way through but eventually found a chink in your defences at turn 3. Well done @ShootSho7t you were untouchable this round.
Carefull on the straight coming into the first turn on this weeks track....pretty sure thoes breaking markers are not for where we trun. the 100 m marker is pretty much on the corner but as its used as 2 different circuits i think this is why
cheers mate....first timeon this track ever....is like a in maze with all thoes lines and witches hats around the place.
