Haven't done Nurb GP yet, still working on SoO Bathurst. Will be testing Nurb GP out next week as it is the last race of the SoO series, although in LMP1 cars. As for Bathurst, managed to get into High 2.05's, semi repeatable. TCS @ 2 and using the controller. Managed a single 2.04, not repeatable using TCS @ 0 on the wheel. I'm not sure if its me or something else, but any car I drive never seems settled on the road and is a constant battle to maintain it in whatever direction I want it to go. Bathurst is my Kryponite, I never seem to do well.
At Bathurst I can do steady 2:04 on RSS and 2:05 RS with the very occasional 2:03, I am planning on running a Nurburgring room this afternoon for something different though.
Check out my video i shared in the SoO thread, could help with lines since you are on a controller as well.
We were in a room last night and I can't touch those times, I think I need a lot more practice on that track after Sunday.
Did anyone else get those times? I bet the Div1 guys smashed it... Watch the Lewis Hamilton video in Brand Central...different car but idea is the same. Some simple advice but after a few initial laps it is interesting to try, eg making 2 apexes of the big hair pin instead of one. There are some subtle gems in there. I hope they make more, I didn't watch the long version yet, will get to it one day. Are you using TCS0? TCS3 is a lot slower down the straights. I'll get done for anti competitive behaviour if im not careful...
TCS0. I need to do some testing today on an arcade track vs lobby, were your times in the time trial?
Mmm yh was time trial, so I could race my ghost - so perfect tyres every lap. I tried a few different lines on various corners, slow in ended up being better in most cases - poor @Matthyus, he seems to like going in hot! The braking zone at the end of the 2 straights will be an interesting spot for race photos, once we all get our braking points marked.
I'll go into the time trial today and see how I go, I'm suspecting that the network has an affect on times and as @Mezign and @Viperzed have discovered sometimes it's worse than other times.
I remember in one of your rooms at Barhurst I felt like i had better grip than other times, which ultimately lead to that 2 min flat time. Its weird.
+1, I'm a firm believer in the fact that different drivers can have very different track grip levels depending on the host
Nothing wrong with braking late Nothing bad ever happens from that I'll give the Nurb GP a shot after Bathurst as I don't want to mess up my muscle memory with changing up practice tracks. Got down to consistent 2.04 on the controller, with known areas of improvement that I can see.
Nurb GP - using SoO race setup but allowing GR4 cars, on RH with TC2 managed constantly repeatable 2.10. Got that on my first lap, so plently of room for improvment. On RS with TC2 managed 2.06 on first lap out.
