I really enjoyed racing the Fittipaldi at Emmo's home track, Of course I stuffed up losing 18 seconds ploughing one of the fields. Started 5th on the grid and was holding that until a little slip after about 4 laps let Ozglenn through then I held 6th until lap 10. Under pressure from Noxrai I lost the tail and went bush. That was where I lost the 18 seconds and fell back to last (10th). Non stopping was the way to go and it helped me gain a few places up to 8th and I finished only about 10 seconds behind ozglenn so if I hadn't done some farming I would have finished ahead of him. As it was I finished about where I deserved. Special shout out to @Bryan_F and @UrsineSaturn9 for running in Fittipaldi liveries, Bryan especially for the 7/11 Patrick Racing March 85C from the CART series.
Second this!! ☝️☝️ Does anyone know why I started at the back after qual 3rd or 4th? I'm not fussed but might be a glitch to look out for
You were lag jinking, at least from my perspective, your car was occasionally side stepping by say 1/4 car width.
Just means that you lose your place on the grid. If you go back out and get past the first sector your time and grid position will be restored.
Was a fun race indeed and a fun car. Would probably be my pick though I won't be voting. Considered the non-stop, but thought I'd struggle too much to save enough fuel, so just floored it and took tyres and fuel half way. @emmo46 total fluke with the livery. I just jumped on tonight, purchased the car, semi-randomly selected the first livery that took my fancy and went with it! I'm not that learned with motorsports history!
Fittipaldi ran in Marlboro colours in F1 in 1974 and 1975. The again in CART series in North America from 1987 to 1995.
So that was much fun, I was pleased with my efforts of sticking with @UrsineSaturn9, @Noxrai and @Kephin_07 for 7 or so laps. Did my best to stick to @UrsineSaturn9 bumper without sending him and me off. Sorry for the odd tap or two. Should've stuck it out for a no stopper, might not have got lapped.
