I really wanted to quit after last night, but seeing how the next rd is the wet one, i really want to show all you guys the art of driving out the side windows while still going fast

Is it because you're looking towards the corner because the fronts aren't gripping?

Dont go to overboard @stucar17 it needs to be enjoyable. Overloading it with stuff like that just takes all the fun out and adds more stress.

I dunno, I'd prefer a completely wet race than having to run half wet and then burning your wets up on a dry track. It would be pretty cool if it turned into a storm.

is there a reason your quoting MY post? I clearly said nothing about dry racing was just stating that 3 weather slots with different rain is going to add a lot more annoyance to tuning, as if it isnt bad enough on dry tracks.

Yeah, just continuing the conversation and offering another opinion in saying that a completely wet race would be better than say light rain, light rain, clear. We haven't had a wet race on PCars yet since I've been here, would be nice to go crazy with it this one time. Hope the quotation didn't offend :roflmao:

We ran quite a successful one in the ginetta series. I believe it was a four slotta. Heavy rain, thunderstorm, med rain and light. It was one of the better races I've been in purely because some people were fast in the heavy stuff but some found good pace when the track dried. I'd be all for multiple slots each with a different type of rain purely because of the fact that the track is constantly evolving making it more of test

Was thinking along those lines Ragoo, just want to temper it a little for the controller guys.....planning at looking at it tonight if the PSN plays nice...even 3 slots, light rain / storm / rain-fog ......

My race was pretty much what emu and Zulu said , a full on hard pace with one of the best battles I have had with this group .
I didn't qualify as good as I liked plus the rest of the guys are stating to get there starts down pat , so I knew I was going to have to work for it .
now the funny thing is I cant remember most of the race coz the laps were so full on the limit that I was forgetting to breathe .
I had to constantly remind my self to take a breath , that's why I was braking a bit early in to the bus stop gents .
Zulu was on my clacka for nearly all the race and other times it was me on his , we had a little coming together earlier on in the race , but later in the lobber we both said it was the both of us that stuffed that one up so all sorted (you cant fit 2 into 1 hole , but some porn I have seen may prove me wrong).
So Zulu and I were going at it , and I could see Emu a head , and I was gaining , then next thing I was on him . I buggered up a corner and Zulu got past , so I sat back and let them go for it . they started to come back to me (I think my tyres cooled) so set up Emu for a pass in to turn one , nearly got past Zulu as well but I would have hit him so I tucked in behind . then I got a penalty at the bus stop , and the boys went through .
Later they made a stuff up so I took it and kept pressing on for third .
Thanks for the cognrats gents and brilliant work to 1st & 2nd .
I'm looking forward to the wet round .

Alright everyone......Regulations for this weeks wet race.........Some slight adjustments for this round, thanks to CAGME and a few others for doing a little testing for this, wasnt quite as easy as i imagined....

So, the issue was not so much the wear, but the heating of the rear tires......i am reasonably good on mine, but still had my rears over 125* after 4 laps.....was set on light rain, X2 and the date was as we had for the previous rounds....Track temp was still at 40* though.....The short version was that the controller guys, and also most of the guys "harder" on tires would find it difficult to finish 10 laps, let alone the race.....After testing last night i have come up with the following (thanks to the guys who helped - blindman, Zulu, Kart and Devil)

DATE and TIME CHANGE for this round.
    10th January - 4pm
    (track temp 31* - amb 21*)
    TIRE WEAR : REAL
    3 x weather slots
    1. "rain"
    2. "storm"
    3. "rain"
WEATHER PROGRESSION - "set to race"

What i found was that the wear is obviously good, was on 92% on FL after 8 laps. The rear tires "do" heat up and strangely i found that on about lap 3 the rear got a bit lively and was the only time that they threatened to overheat. Once i got through that lap they were fine. Also found that the in "rain" the car was very good, the middle stint in "storm" was also good, with the ambient dropping quite low.....

I will be doing a full race run tonight for anyone interested.....the PSN still seems a little dodgy however so fingers crossed we can get a room up with a few drivers
