im really after something fast. i hate to be that guy, but my participation in this next season is dependent on car. with Jonos F1 series and Cagme's AC series in the mix. Pcars is likely the one ill be dropping.
The Mercedes SLS AMG GT3? Testing the other night with you. BMW Z4 GT3 - I found it felt stiff, maybe banged heading towards 3rd corner brands hatch, but "OK" nonetheless. Audi GT - i concur with your description Sierra RS500 - horrible just like the escort you tried too LoL. Will try the Aston Vantage GT3 again and the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3.
From what I recall in the previous HTO series the SLS was good, fast in a straight line but very hard on tyres over race distance due to the weight. I drove the Z4 which was great on tyres and the complete package. Some may say a little sterile and easy to drive but great for a full season of racing.
That Merc is pretty quick but it handles like a boat, heaps of understeer, and has awful braking. I found the Z4 pretty exciting to drive. The guys on wheels felt that it was pretty balanced but it was a handful on controller, so quite fun.
Yep, agreed. The Ginetta has been pretty fun to drive but after something that slow I reckon we need something nice and quick.
Isn't there 2 types of merc gt3 in PCars? I haven't tried both, are they the same for handling and tyre wear?
tried a couple of the open wheelers last night and felt really good, BUT can see the issues with no tail lights and contact from car behind. Did love cockpit view though ! Tried the camaro and it was pretty good, a LMP2 and didnt like it, felt lifeless and boring.... the old merc touring car...TERRIBLE.....WOULD NOT TURN ! M3GT felt good, not quite as good IMO as the Z4, and doesnt sound as good either.
Surprised there are no road cars in the mix. One with a normal manual gear box would be good. (nods to all with an H-pattern shifter)
ok guys, have discussed out the back and we have made an executive discision and we will be racing the Z4 BMW GT3
Awesome news. I did a few laps around Laguna Seca in the Z4 last night and it's a great car/circuit combo, hopefully we'll see that circuit this season.
