After the booming success of the Bathurst 3 Hour, we are now flying to France, for a new battle at the site of the most famous endurance race in the world, the La Sarthe Circuit in Le Mans.
Either raced alone or locally, Endurance racing is the ultimate test of speed, consistency, strategy and coolness under pressure.
As mentioned, there are 2 methods of participation.
Lone Wolf: Race the distance entirely on your own with no time for a toilet break or any other interruptions. Not for the faint hearted.
Local Team (Recommended): Race with 1 or 2 other drivers on the same rig. Perfect for those who may struggle driving long distances and overall a whole lot more fun.
Unlike the Gr.3 cars, Gr.1 cars are much more varied in performance, some boasting enormous top speed and others with insane cornering ability. It will be a challenge to balance these cars for the race whilst maintaining their unique traits. Division ballasts will return, not changing from their previous guise.
Weight Handicaps:
Div 1: +9%
Div 2: +6%
Div 3: +3%
Div 4: +/-0%
Pairings will use a % handicap roughly halfway between their respective handicaps.
Div 1&2: +7%
Div 1&3: +6%
Div 1&4: +5%
Div 2&3: +4%
Div 2&4: +3%
Div 3&4: +1%
Number Boards:
It is a requirement that you place dedicated number boards on your car in an easy to spot fashion. These are colour coded to clearly indicate car division, while the bottom square has been left white so you can edit it as you wish. Please ensure the number itself is clear to see. These boards are mandatory and failure to have them displayed on the car clearly will result in a Non Classification.
Stint Rules:
Local teams must share the driving load to maintain fairness. In a 2 driver team, a driver must not spend more than 2 hours in the car, and in a 3 driver team, a driver not must spend more than 90 mins in the car. There are no restrictions on stint length (except above) however there are a minimum of 2 compulsory pit stops.
