Q2 R2 Again epic battle. Qualified well with @Blue XR8 on fire again. But then the knuckle head hit the wrong button and left the session so we had to start a new room with a rolling start. Blue lead us away on our formation lap and we all expected him to go exiting the final turn but he held 80 odd km/h until 2 or 3 car lengths short of the start finish line which was a nice little trick . I stayed on the back of him for 5 or 6 laps with @Ant_427 keeping me honest. Blue made a gap of about 3 seconds to me and I had a little bit more back to ant. Ant got into a battle with a couple behind which gave me more of a gap. I pitted as soon as I got a few spots of rain and blue stayed out so I hoped to get a jump on him. But being the first pit bay (now I know why @Ad2mny didn't want to host ) I got held for 3 or 4 seconds longer than usual. Blue came out of the pits about 6 seconds ahead of me and @Aykay was just behind me. This turned out to be a intense battle with aykay all over me with heaps of pressure, I tried to make my car as fat as possible and payed off until lap 25 I think when he got a great run on me. So I started to put the pressure back on him and forced a small mistake with one lap to go again he got a good run on me onto the back straight so I held to the left of the track to hold the inside line for the chicane knowing there was less water pooling there and it payed off aykay ran wide and let me cruise home for second. Great racing mate I don't believe that we had a single touch over the 14 odd laps that' impressive in the rain it was great fun. Congrats blue on the triple again well done mate. Well done aykay on third great race. See you on track. Ant
Sorry I didn't race guys. I slept on and off for most of the day and spewed when I was awake. I thought it was a hangover but I might have had food poisoning it seems. Still feeling rekt now.
Q: 13 R: 13 This is what happens when you don't put in practice for a wet round. Was way off the pace here, although did have enough speed to hang around with the guys at the back. Well.. that would have been the case if my pit strat didn't change itself back to slicks. First room was fine.. double checked tyre settings and wet tyres and correct pressures were properly saved. Yep. Second room, went in to make sure the correct strategy was selected but didn't go into the settings to check the tyre selection. Come race time, the pit crew threw me on slicks so had to readjust strategy to get the wets on.
@Aykay are you able to put up any replay of our battle. I saved it but don't know how to transfer it to share factory.
I too would be interested on how one transfers the saves to share factory or if it is done another way?
I think you'd have to watch it in game, record it with share button and then use that in share factory.
That is correct @beakeroo Record it with the share button, then edit it down in share factory. I share record my POV live every race just in case I can’t save the replay.
A round to forget. Started off ok then it all went pear shaped. Good battle with @MarkH and @Josh, but once the rain started that was pretty much it for me, and I just worked my way even further backwards. See how Sugo goes. Well done @Blue XR8 , @Anthonyb and @Aykay
It was a fun race. The change of weather was interesting. I felt I drove the best I have since starting the season - only 1 off 2 laps to the end and lost 2 positions for that - oh well. Much improved from the previous 2 races of coming last!!!! Nice to have some good battles unlike previous where I was all alone at the back! See how this week goes.
