I've had complaints of stupid driving and hitting people off on purpose from tonight.

If anyone doesn't want to practice properly, then piss off. We can't get a gauge on the cars/tyres properly if we aren't practicing properly

If it happens next week, whoever is involved can sit out the rest of the practice races and be on probation for S12

Excellent nights racing. Great guys to race with.
All tyres worked at full power and minimum weight.
However, when the test finished we all chose SM’s and felt these made the car feel best.
The car needs to feel alive and RM’s do this.
Big thank you to our room host @T F Eccles for a great job.

I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that the SH was a huge waste of time tonight. Max power was well too much for those tires and didn't give us a good indicator of what those tires are worth.

From the three compounds tested tonight I’d vote for RH

Any and all my bumps were due to unskilled driving on my part, like every other race. :(

SM or SS seems a good compromise. RH split the field too much. Quicker drivers were able to extract far more from what was available. SS gave a good mix with everyone.

Could be a fun season if we ditch qualy and ran reverse championship points grids. Lots of fun battles with everyone tonight. :)

RH would be the pick for tires tonight just felt more control

with SH breaking was so much longer just felt like would make racing of a mission and the smallest error would turn in to a bigger one

SS was good close racing and I think if practice is done then could be best option for so good battles

SS the best of tonight. SM also good in later testing, probably even better. SH probably just a bit too slidy.

Probably not worth 2 cents but Here’s my thoughts afters tonight’s races.
Even after coming home 1st in the RH race (started pole due to reverse grid) I found the car less exciting to drive than with the SH,SM,& SS. As the car in second spot for half of that race was a tiny bit slower than my pace, he backed the pack up & let me get away. Now He may have done a Stirling Job to keep everyone behind of course but also that might be because the RH make it harder to pass. This could mean processions rather than races IMO.
In all 3 races ( yes we tried SM’s too) using each of the sports compounds I went backwards by the end of the races, but had a blast in all of them, managing a few passes myself & more than a few others passing each other back & forth as well, throughout each race. The SH were the most difficult to push on of course, so I think SM or SS are the right compound for the MX5.

SS for sure. RH was way too much, produced same-same racing and it wasn't anywhere near as fun as SS. SH were a non-event

I also would pick SS if we were to have a vote on tires. Simply because we can race close and hard unlike the SH tires. Don’t get me wrong, the SH tires are fun and a good challenge but for a championship where we trying to race with minimal contact I think SS/SM would be the way to go if the MX5 is the choice of season 12.
Maybe we can even try using both with a mandatory pit and use of both compounds if we can find the sweet spot multiplier of fuel and tire wear. Just my 5c

Yeah, maybe one set of SS with tyre wear set so pace drops off significantly after about a third race distance. As many SM as you need to go the rest of the distance. Pits open, start on either tyre.

MY 2 cents worth the same as above really - SH were more about keeping the car on the road than racing hard, SS was a sweet spot of a bit of both, but definitely much much grippier, RH while fun, and produced some good racing, just felt like too much, too easy to race.

Also I joined in on the SM racing afterwards with higher fuel and tyre burn and it felt good, quite a bit of fun.

Be interesting to see what next week brings :)
