All, thanks for being patient whilst we worked on Season 5. We have gone for a set of tracks that haven't been used much or at all in previous seasons and taken into account some of your suggestions and preferences.

I hope season 5 is a lot of fun for everyone!

Remember the races are a bit longer this season, but qualifying is only 10 minutes. So total event time should be similar to before but with more racing.

16th Oct: Monza - Normal Round
    GP Track
    22 Laps

23th Oct: Indy Road - Sprint Round
    12 Laps x 2

30th Oct: Daytona Road - Normal Round
    22 Laps

6th Nov: Monaco [cote de azure] - Normal Round
    25 Laps

13th Nov: Fuji Speedway F - Sprint Round
    11 Laps x 2

20th Nov: Suzuka - Normal Round
    19 Laps

27th Nov: Lemans (Circuit de la Sarthe 2009) - Enduro Round
    15 Laps

4th Dec: Spa Francorchamps - Normal (Bonus) Round
    18 Laps

Lemans should be much better with the SpecII update in regards to slip-stream and short cut penalties at the chicanes ;) - Updated the GTLOZ Lounge Settings to include setting slipstream to WEAK

Has the sprint round rules been changed to half points for the second race?

Could we get Lemans changed to the 2005 version?
Its a nicer track to race on due to the dirt, dont have to be policing the cuts so much.

    Sounds like a sweet plan.

    A couple of things to consider;
    1. Are the hosts happy to purchase the track?[/*]
    2. Is there anyone not planning on purchasing the track? - you will be able to race but may be disadvantaged for practise unless you can hook up with a PSN friend who has purchased the track.[/*]

Any objections post here - otherwise this sounds like a change for the better, just need someone with the track to sort out the number of laps to give a 40-45min race 80-90min race (this is the enduro round ~2x normal race length)...

I practice on Wednesday and Thursday and I have the track. As always I encourage everyone to join in. Anyone who isn't my friend yet just go ahead and add me.

I love the track but haven't bought it yet, i think the DLC doesn't have enough good stuf in it to justify the price tag, but no doubt i will end up buying it. I probably the only one lokking forward to De La Sarthe but i think Spa will offer the same experience for me too so I'm happy to go with the flow on this.

A change of track is fine by me, prefer Spa to Sarthe anyway. I have the track and happy for anyone to jump in and practice.
If I set it as the default track for my lounge, are people able to get in when Im not there?

Personally I think Lemans would be boring in the G37, especially for an enduro. But, I'm not competeing....
Good idea Barra, definitely worth looking into.. don't see why that wouldn't work but obviously can't confirm myself ;)

Sounds good. The way I looked at it was; $5 for a track seems reasonable.
If you want the cars as well it's about the same price as the whole package so you effectively get the rest for free.

Haha, you're not alone Bonus, I like LeMans too!
I think the fast corners near the end of the lap are brilliant, especially in something with some aero like the G37.
You can really make the car dig in & work hard.

How about make Spa 1st round next season?

Le mans is one of the best tracks in the game, the g37 may seem bad for it but I reckon it'll be great down the straights for drafting pairs to catch the leaders, how bout we do le mans as a normal round (I'm guessing bout 8-10 laps) and then do spa for the endurance round or vice versa. I think the season too short anyways. I'm sure most people were keen for more races with the Macca last season, seems like it ended just when everybody got used to the car.

How about we include Spa as an additional round then?
Will anyone NOT be able to make an additional round on the 4th of December?

I just checked - I was able to enter stu's lounge while he was offline and run laps. I was able to drive at spa, but don't know whether it was because I have the track of because he does. Someone who hasn't purchased it will have to check that
