Ok guys, am looking at 2 TVs, based on size and budget.....sony and samsung 55" Any recommendations on what is the best for watching sport and gaming ..... http://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-lcd-led-plasma/samsung/55-full-hd-3d-dual-core-smart-led-tv-sku-397409/ OR http://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-lcd-led-plasma/sony/55-inch-w800a-full-hd-led-smart-3d-tv-sku-407654/ From the little bit of research i did i am leaning towards the Sony, faster refresh rate ?, supposedly better blacks, and also 4 pears of 3D glasses free. Will be linked to this for sound, doesnt really matter what TV goes with it, but easier if both the TV and sound unit are Samsung... http://www.jbhifi.com.au/home-theat...-smart-blu-ray-home-theatre-system-sku-96750/ If you think one is superior to the other please let me know so i can make my mind up Cheers Stu
For me, I prefer to keep tv and accessories to the same brand, and my biggest reason for this is compatibility with remotes and features. My pet hate is having 44 remotes to work my , one for tv, one for hifi, one for DVD etc.... I myself would go Samsung, just a personal preference, no big reason behind it. I don't consider Sony the same quality it used to be years ago.....
This would be my choice http://mobile.jbhifi.com.au/tv-lcd-led-plasma/panasonic/55-inch-full-hd-3d-ips-led-tv-sku-393451/ I know it isn't one of the ones you posted but I'm a Panasonic man lol
http://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-lcd-led-plasma/samsung/64-inch-full-hd-3d-smart-pdp-tv-sku-397426/ Why not go bigger for same price? Fast refresh rate and free glasses?
Just want to throw a curveball in here Stu. I recently bought one of these instead of a flat screen TV: http://www.thecableconnection.com.a...r---DLP-Technology-and-ISF-Certification.html Have been very happy with it - 1080p, 3D and a 100" picture! Just putting it out there.. Otherwise, I would go with the Sammy out of those 2.
I bought a 55" LG LED 3D TV and its brilliant, great image and no frame which makes it look a lot bigger than it is. Another sweet thing is you can use regular 3D glasses like the ones you get at the movies. It's my second LG TV and never had an issue with it.
LOL, so in other words the answer is a pineapple !!!! Both have a great picture, so it won't really matter either way. Must admit am leaning to the Sony for the faster refresh rate and 4 pairs glasses, down side is the different remotes between the tv and sound system. Might flip a coin !

I think it depends what specific model you get from any brand, I got a 46" Sony Bravia which isn't too bad, don't believe the 120 hz bull they put on it cause they only run 60, best thing it does though is I can launch my PS3 with the TV remote and actually control the PS3 with it, it cost me $1400 so I was happy. The samsungs I've seen seem to be the best but they're also $4000 plus so they should be, like I said depends with model. Also look out for the retailers dimming down the cheap TVs and cranking colour and back lights on the dearer ones.
Holy crap 600 hz, must be for 3D, I betcha you plug your computer into it and it'll still just run 60 hz. I'd like to be wrong tho.
Yep I'm a Panasonic Fan, great colors and depth. Got a Sony as well and its not to shaby either but Panasonic just in front.
