with the release of this livery i had to have a Bathurst thread..... Still remember as a kid watching Dick throw it in the trees at Forrest Elbow.......One of the great liveries
Every bathurst has some thing different in it jim&skaife in the wet with godzilla .glen seton broken rocker. fabian coulthard roll. just a few.
Was that the one where Jim got booed, and he called the crowd "a pack of arseholes"? The Dick Johnson 'rock on the track' incident always sticks in my mind.
Jim got booed in about 87 or 88 I think. Race got red flagged but went back 1 lap to the positions at the time. Jim was awarded the race even though his GTR was against the wall with the wheels hanging off it !! What about 83 when the track was blocked at the top of the mountain and Johnson won with the same rule. He was leading at that stage though. So many great moments, can't think of them all !!
We should make the enduro round in this track in season 1, or, have a V8 SC enduro outside of the calendar if we're not doing a V8SC season. I dream of 20 car grids in GT6
ohh!!! how I miss my ps2 with v8 supercar 3 game. Have yet to find a chance to race the v8 supercars on another racing platform.
Incidents every year... The tyre(wheel) going through Lowndes's window, The Murph (or was it Ingall) and Ambrose bust up, years ago, the car rolling down the side of Conrod and slicing itself in half as it rolled down the fence. Will have to get off my Arse and go there one day.

Never been to Mt Pan yet watched for past 20/25 years. but did get tickets to the first albert park F/1 race champagne breakfast got sh-- faced & lost had to get a cab home watched it on tv lol . have been invited 2 Mobil corporte box 3 years in a row first year we were taken down to Mclaren pit box Mark webber was guest speaker it was such an eye opener.

Yeah, caught up with it all after work today. Hopefully Chaz can have something decent to drive and come through the field. He had pretty good pace before the shunt. Oh, and was only taking the poss saying ease up too !! Nothing like a bit of ford Holden rivalry !
Dick said it'll be fixed & fine by earlier this evening,mostly superficial,their track time loss is going to be the killer!
Top 10 shoot out was pretty good this year. I am expecting a high rate of attrition tomorrow, cars seem pretty loose, and in a pack I reckon might cause some problems. Hope it's a good race, and Chaz comes through. I drove around the track few times last year, and you have to put it to the top of your bucket list. It really is unbelievable how fast they come down the hill through the esses. I thought 1 lap would do me, but I ended up doing about 6 !
