Hey guys and girls Just wondering if there are ever any stand alone events over the "Christmas/New Year" period (in between seasons) or does everybody take a break. No dramas either way, just curious
Actually I'd like to throw my hat in to organise something ridiculously stupid in terms of car and track choice for a mini series if there's interest. I might even throw in a prize.
The idea would be an arrive and drive, no opportunity for anyone to practice, no heads-up on track choice. Just show up, ten minute practice session, ten minute quali and race. I could maybe give a choice of three cars and three tracks with a vote a few hours before race time.
don't have a vote. I ran something similar back in gt6 days no practice series. car and track selected by random generator on the night, 1 lap qualifying and then a 10min race, subsequent races reverse grid
I'll be out of action in early January for a couple of weeks but if this is in December sign me up for sure! Sounds good fun I like the idea of no vote as well. That way it might help level the playing field a bit.
Yeah, sounds good. After I typed that last post I changed my mind immediately. It spoils the idea of a surprise race night.
Wish the Sunday league was like this, track announced the day of the event, rock up and let the fastest man win I'll be in Canada over xmas new year otherwise would have been very down
I did thing very similar back in pcars one were I numbered all the tracks and cars in order and then I used a random number generator app on my phone and we used to do 10 minute Qualifying sessions then a 30 minute race it was great fun and if your doing some similar I'd be in as I'm willing to bet a few other guys would be keen as well
Yeah those were some fun race nights. We do it Wednesday night if anyone is keen for something like this, just some fun racing that may or may not descend into chaos
Our usual race nights are Mondays at 7pm Aussie eastern DST time and the same time on Wednesdays. Chuck me a friend request on the PSN and rock up one night. Don't know if there is anything planned tonight but Mondays are always happening.
Will do. That time would be too early for me on Wednesday night but should be able to make the Monday night thing work

In future may I suggest that you send a message saying gimme an invite ya kiwi bastard! I'm unlikely to be on Monday nights, I train youth boxing on Mondays.
I would have done that but had the game on and ready while I was doing other boring mundane home tasks and eating dinner. I'll be more proactive next week although perhaps leave the "kiwi" bit out Hope you get your wheel issue sorted!
