I just realized that this is only 500kms not 500 miles. Should be 200 laps or 160 laps for a 400 mile race. Was that just so it wouldn't finish too late?

    Yeah, 1hr 45 approx.
Otherwise it would be a tiny grid at near on a 3hr race.
I would do it, but grid size weighed heavily on my decision.

I hear you have got a few tenths on my PB.
I was chasing a tune today for an hour, but ended up slower with worse tyre wear:roflmao:

Seems I wash off too much speed from mid corner to exit, which costs me top speed on the straits.
Everything I adjust that seems to help initially, ends up making the front right wear quicker, or unable to handle the high line at all.
Finding that sweet spot of speed, balance and tyre wear is a challenge.

I might have to run stock settings, I don't have time to tune these things myself and a got a bunch of tunes of the interweb thingy that are all contradictory.

Exactly what I am finding when looking through them.
What I am finding through testing so far is getting through the mid corner bumps is important for maintaining speed as well as saving the front, so keep it a bit squishy
    - keep it high 90-95 mm with a softer ride than stock. Mine is around 15.00 kg F&B. Have had it as low as 12 and it feels good, but not as responsive for corrections.
    - Mid range antiroll 4 to 5
    - tiny little bit of camber helps make it pointy, mines at 0.2, but that brings up the wear rate.
-Diff doesn't seem to make much difference to me, I have tried everything on max and min, but I notice nothing.
-Aero, keep it near min , but add some to save some tyres and keep it stable in the pack if you like.

Overall, there isn't much to adjust really, suspension is all I'm playing with now my box feels about right.
In saying that tho, a yank was in the room with me yesterday getting an extra 8 kmph down the straits than me, which translated to 7 tenths quicker, so I am definitely not the benchmark

Was the extra 8 kmh gained from gearing or better corner exit speed?

never been partial to these beasts but after the fab TITTS night recently on ovals, decided to give it a whirl.....

first test last night, using this setup:

very good thru the bumps but not convinced about the gearing.... was just about to get a nugget of info from @cola1001 when i was dsc.... any chance you can post it here cola? pweeeeeeeeese??
i got thru a tank of fuel (34laps) front right tyre down to 2 on the last lap

    Both emmo.
He was holding 316 min in corner and was not on the red line at 336.
Mine ATM is 310 min corner and mine bounces at 337 with the ultimate bump draft. And I'm only getting 26 laps as they change to ones.
Seems @Nigel Burley is strait onto a better one than me

Going by all these posts. Practice and tuning is needed then?
