That opens a whole new can of worms for other events. Have had this suggested before. It in itself creates major headaches. BJH ROC entry requirements stipulate that you must win a championship or event (or be part of a winning team ala nascar)
I'd rather keep it simple. Div 6 leads off, then a gap (say 10 seconds) to Div 5 and so on until Div 1 goes off last. This gives the guys in the lower divs a reasonable head start on a reasonably simple track with a car that is reasonably easy to drive quickly.
At the end of the day Lee, its your event and your call as to how it is run. I'm not fussed either way.
I'm just trying to gauge a fair gap between divs... 10 seconds seems about right...that gives Div 6 almost a full minute over Div 1.
It is your event, and all in good fun. 10secs between divs seems fine. The stagger idea was to give the illusion of traffic so it will work well. Plus we don't seem to have any 'jako' drivers signed up (drivers who are in a lower div but running much higher div times)
Tuning my friend . Take the mx-5 for example I was 2s a lap quicker than stock at Apricot Hill and Deep Forrest (haven't ran it at the other tracks)
OK I'M RECORDING MIC CHAT AS WELL!!!! IF THERE IS BANTER YOUR BOUND TO FIND ME!!!!! But no pressure holding a 10sec gap over the fastest GT6 racers in Aus for over 100kms........
Just had a run around and man is that thing fun!! Bumps are in all the wrong places lol Wasn't sure what tyre wear you were thinking but something to note, i did an outlap with tyre wear on normal and tyres were down to 9 at the end. So by the end of 4 laps, tyres down to around 6 at best. Faster wear and you would be pitting for sure.
Haven't had a chance to do this event yet, but Im on paternity leave next week. So put me down as a maybe atm, and I'll confirm on Monday.
The Ft-1 is a fun car to drive, but tough around here. Just did a few laps (offline) around 8:20 seems about average for me, with at least one spin (and that was using driving line too, cant memorize all those corners yet).
