Benny Gowie BMW I think it was good having the 4 different cars too tune. Pretty sure most of us slapped together a tune 10 minutes before the race - but it worked perfectly. Had to be on it to get the most out of each race. This format was the most fun Ive had yet. Keen for more Manufacture events for sure
I think @B-Spec Bob 's car in the first race needs a mention for "special" prize. The JDM stance, the 5% tint all round, that pearl white on white finish. It all pales to the might and fury of... THOSE RIMS
Take a look at Benny's Fairlady in slot 11. Now that's what I call stance. Not surprised the car performed poorly, though.
Are there any road cars in GT6 where more than 1.0 of negative camber actually helps performance? Sadly i haven't found one
Looked like a stella night! wish I could've been there. Hopefully we do some other manufacturer based events cause it's a great idea.
After Nissan, the next largest car stables in-game are Honda/Acura (110+), Toyota/Lexus (103+) and Mazda (102). I'm thinking of setting up a poll in the near future, so watch this space...
Honda -Civic -S2000 -NSX -NSX or HSV GT500 Toyota -Vitz/Yaris -Celica -FR sports (supra/86/soarer/altezza etc) -Supra GT500 Mazda -MX-5/Eunos/Roadster -4 door (atenza/axela/323 etc) -RX-7/8 -RX-7 GT300 or TC
@BMWF30328 and @Nathan Storrier still to vote. Z votes: @cola1001 leading on 4 to @Knuckles 3 SX votes: @BMWF30328 leading on 4 to @GOWIE22 3 GTR votes: @its-benny-racer leading on 3 to @B-Spec Bob on 2 Everyone else can only tie for 2nd in the Z and SX votes, while a tie for the GTR win is still possible.
It was a good night and great concept. My only feedback is just like titts, a lot of the parity is taken out by the different car specs and tuning knowledge. I don't have an answer to how you get parity when you have many different models/variants but clearly there were some cars that were way quicker than others.. I still enjoyed the night even though I obviously used the lemons guide to tuning for my cars and the grid looked great with all the shoe n shine paint and rims......but I did not do much wheel to wheel racing as a result of my crap tuning/car selections. Thanks to BMW who shared how to liberate about 40 BHP in one car. The one thing that might be worthwhile considering for these model variant based events is to use power to weight for parity rather than just setting mandatory pp maximum. This won't achieve total parity but it will bring all car performance closer together.. Please check out my threadc tfor an XR8 Supercar event. Looking for interest. You will find it in Community Events.. Finally thanks Bryan for the effort getting the Nissan event going.
Alright, if I don't get votes from @BMWF30328 and @Nathan Storrier by the end of tomorrow (Friday), I'll call the results as they currently stand.
@emmo46 Please allocate 5 bonus points each to Cola, BMW and Benny. I believe Bob has still won the event and the RoC ticket, congratulations. Also, new poll for the next manufacturer to be featured in a fun night: http://raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/manufacturer-fun-nights.2530/
