PCARS [Completed series] Multi class endurance series

I'm interested especially if it's in lmp cars

I really, really hope you mean giving the faster cars in class to the slower drivers...

I've always thought running a mimic of the WEC with timed races could be cool - so 4 races could look like

60 mins of Silverstone (WEC is 6 hours)
60 mins of Spa (WEC is 6 hours)
2.4hrs of Le Mans (WEC is 24 hours)
60 mins of Nurburgring (WEC is 6 hours)

The other tracks we don't have access to on PCars (Mexico, COTA, Fuji, China, Bahrain)

Official race dates and start times could be run, with random weather and possibly increased tyre/fuel wear and mech failures to throw a spanner in the works and make sure its not a 60 min sprint race.

I tried exactly that but the series kinda fell apart with attendence pretty quick, ironically because there wasn't enough interest for LMP1. Heres hoping this series goes much better

Haha dam you picked the track list, yep that's the plan a wec style series although I would be keeping races around 1.5 hours min. Ever since joining here I have wanted an event like this to pop up, now I just thought I better do or it won't happen.

Personally I'm surprised in all the LMP love too seeing how other series have gone. I will have to look at possibly having the classes swap each race between a team.

i think the LMP love is due to GT cars being done to death over the last few saesons lol

ELMS raced at Imola this past season (4hrs of Imola), so why not a 40mins of Imola

Not saying it wouldnt be a good track for it - there are lots of good tracks for it, I was just picking the ones from the WEC.

OK so a few more details to be added

All races to include some rain this will be done randomly. Before race start 2 drivers will be pm. 1 will give a number 1 - 4 and this will ditact the slot. Another will be asked the same but this will change the progression.

Testing this has shown that we could have a max if a 1st slot 5x multi a wet quali and two splashs of race during the 90 min lasting around 15 each. Or for example a slot 2 with a 1x multi there would be a large rain period.

Also I think the LMP will be the marek seems to be a fast but stable car and should suit a lot of people.

If someone has a car to recommend for the other class please put it up.

So far I have tried
Gt4 mustang (too slow)
Cateram lmp2 (not to bad but close to LMP)
Aston martin gt3 (very good car)
BMW group a (terrible has not turn in)
V8 sc (fast but very challenging)
Ford mustang trans am (not very exciting)

If you have suggestions please put them up and I will test as many as possible. Please note that 20 secs of a LMP is preferred as if we are going to do multi class I want there to be traffic

The McLaren gt3 is both fast, tunable and easy to drive so could be a good option.

For lmp2 try the Alpine and the oreca.

Also I had opt thought that if tuning will be enabled what about a success ballast scheme?

I'm looking into seeing if power can be monitored post race and then that will be an option

interested. in whatever cars are picked.

Power can be checked after the race in the replay or in monitor if people are cutting laps i can talk you through it next time you're online

Awesome seems we may have a series on our hands would love some input guys on the team side. Would people like teams with drivers swapping class or we keep people some class each week. Could be done by roster or the teams could chose where to place there drivers each round?
