GT6 [Gauging interest] 24 hours of le mans

It'd be great to get into but as mentioned, the missus would kill me if I was on for 4 hours every week or two. Have you considered making it a stand alone event rather than a series with driver teams in say a 6 hour one-off race?

What about a series of races broken up into 2 3 hour sessions. 1 driver runs on Saturday next on Sunday.
Could be like WEC. record the deficit after first race and adjust after race 2. Or even line up on grid and start each car according to the time difference to
leader after race 1. Le mans. Spa. Silverstone. Nurnbergring.

that may be a option

i'm open to almost anything but still want to do a full 24 hours in real time

now i'm thinking about spiting it into 4, 6 hour runs
have a div 1 driver team up with a div 6 driver, div 2 with div 5, div 3 with div 4 system
i'm liking the idea of the div 1 driver to do the first race and have the div 6 driver do the 2nd race
before the 2nd race starts if the div 1 driver has a 10 second lead then the div 6 driver will start on green and 2nd place will have to wait that 10 seconds and so on down the grid

what do you guys think

It's awesome, but very difficult and complicated if you don't want to be in the same house as each other lol

Myself, @MINT_GTR, @Beau_Albert @X-WTF_MAN-X and @pikeybraa145 are participating in the GTPlanet WEC and it's set up in a very dedicated order.

My theory is to set up a 4 hour race, and once it's over, all the drivers leave the lobby and their teammates enter,
starting a new one. All gaps are added to find an overall winner.

That would be cool, I see PCARS is investigating drivers sharing the same car on different rigs.
Theres a game changer right there, imagine they could do it across all platforms.

We all know how rubbish the PD / PSN servers are. When we did the 2.4 hrs of LeMans race, it took three resets to make it work. Room would crash when running for too long. Probably just a hosting / individual connection issue, but I personally dont
like the chances of having a six hour long session with no issues. My opinion would be 3-4 hour sessions at most. But splitting it between two three or even four driver teams, just like the real thing, is a good idea.

i was just talking with @Killercarlcox69 and i might go with 3 hour for each race
eg: race 1 with divs 1,2,3 do hours 1-3 divs 4,5,6 do 3-6

in other words it will be 6 hours in one night

Will it be two rooms simultaneously or one after the other

Probably need to run them simultaneously. Otherwise people would be racing either really early (doesn't work with families) or really late.
