The time has come to lock in our car for this season. Due to the abnormally tight votes between the top 5 cars, I've allowed them all into the vote for this week, I may open another vote later in the week if it becomes apparent that there are clear outliers. Please consider your votes carefully, each car has specific traits and some cannot be acquired unless you already own them (Honda and Alfa).

    Happy voting!

Couldn’t go past the Porsche 911 GT3 16 when I tested it. Straight out of the box. Cracken car

I have been using it to grind the Tokyo 600 race. SH tyres and 90% power gives an easy 825K for 27 minutes fun.

Crazy tight right? As stated, If it's too close I may open up an extra vote with only two cars, but ideally I'd like to lock it in this weekend.

Looks like I chucked a wide body on my first, so I've bought a second now.

The final season of GTSport used 10 different cars, mostly road cars. I think it was 6 out of the 10.

:(:( So with the Porsche, BOP on, settings set to some, brake balance ticked only. Brake controller purchased and fitted. There is no brake balance dial showing in the car on track or in the pits. BOP off, Brake balance dial appears, so it has the capability.
Rear tyre wear is a massive difference to the front. Anyone?

    First impressions.
Porsche understeers up and down hills and while braking...
The Alfa and EK models aren't for sale?
I'm well versed in the Super Formula's. Still better than the Porsche.
And the Beamer just wants to kill you. Spins out on a straight....
Maybe more time with them might make them drivable, but not by much. Fun season ahead.

My impression of the Porsche is the polar opposite. I find it trail brakes well and is very easily controlled with throtle.

I test all cars at Bathurst, as it has all the features of a test track.
After the cutting, heading up to Mountain pass, it just spins out.
Braking into the downhill prior to the dipper, OMG, tenterhooks the entire time - zero trust in what it wants to do, will it flick left or right this time.
Exiting the dipper, I don't even bother putting a foot on the gas until down to the little straight as it will just become unsettled and flick left / right.
Let's not talk about Forrest elbow, braking into that has the same effect, left or right - zero trust in the car.

It's not just the Porsche, but the BMW too, same flippant behavior that I'll / we'll need to manage to get around the track, let alone race them.

I haven't used it at Bathurst, not a fan of Bathurst anyway. Will try it and see.

There's definitely going to be a lot of dependency on good track selection. I look forward to seeing what is voted in when track suggestions open!

I just did 2 custom 6 lappers on RM and 1 on RS. I agree that skyline and forest elbow are challenging, mainly because braking and turning unsettles the car. I have experienced the same thing though with many cars we have used at Bathurst. I modulate the braking so a gentle press on approach, let off as I turn in and then brake when the car is strraight. It would be a challenge trying to out brake someoe there and would surely end with a shortened bonnet. I suggest Bathurst should be left off the list, although I would be happy to race there because the car is a lot of fun around the rest of the track.
To sum up. It can't be pushed like a GT3 but it can dance once you get the rhythm right.

Sounds like a lighter touch will be needed to use this car.
Time to bring out the practice so that I can be semi not good.

I turned the braking force up a fair bit driving the Porsche and it seemed to help. Can press the brake harder without it darting left or right.
It's a different beast on RH tyres compared to SS, but can still be a handful if you aren't careful.
On SS, I expect a lot of spins, crashes and moments!!
