Pics are missing @Matthyus. Actually no, interwebs are a bit slow this morning, must be the long weekend.
Congrats on the racing last night guys - Wet SPA wouldn't have been much fun. Admittedly if it was a different car I may have pushed through and attempted it last night - but I was stuffed. I think I was asleep before you guys had even kicked off (My phone notifications went off while I was in bed from the PSN and it was the qualification 20 mins notification). I'll be there next week.
Good race, my first at Spa, fast car in the wet was a steep learning curve of an introduction! I got 20 laps or so practise in Saturday, and an hour pre race - was competitive for a while, but a couple of 5 second errors cost dearly, and thy were never made up. Had some great battles through the middle of the race, thanks again to @THE_UNDER_STUDY for the redress too. If I had done more practise I would have liked to see how well I could handle the wear of the wet tyres - I knew I would be close on fuel, could have gone the distance it turns out. I bit the bullet and turned traction on - i could get some faster sections out of no TCS - but the consistancy of TCS2 ruled better lap times every time, not spinning after a hairpin helps it would seem. Did some low fuel 2:14s that surprised me - I did see some flying laps but just couldn't keep good laps flowing regularly with dirty air and little mistakes - all adds to the fun though!
I see Div 2 only had 7 starters. We could have joined Div 2 & 3 for a room of 14. As it was we joined 3 & 4 for a room of 13. 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other really. @fezza great job in finishing 2nd last night, clearly your at home in the wet.
Folks, it's the endurance round this weekend at Suzuka and, as in past seasons, we like to try and start 30mins early. That would mean qualification at 7:50pm AEDT, race start at 7:55pm AEDT (or thereabouts). I'm also mindful that next Sunday is also Aus F1 GP day and this may affect numbers. Please reply if you are for an early start, against a early start or not racing at all. I am out for the rest of the season, Don't like the car or settings and are having to much fun on the PC to race this car, good luck guys....
Early is good. I'm out for brands hatch though, birthday weekend at Fraser with my 2 kids and my brother and sister. Also did you see today's race c sf19 at spa
Yes for early. Yeah, I was going to mention Race C is the SF19 at Spa. Had a couple of those races last night, 10 laps, x10 tyre wear, x2 Fuel. Wasn't too bad, but I got some seriously bad penalties which put me off... one point I was side by side with someone, and they bumped into the side of me, then they went off track, gave me a 5 second penalty for pushing someone off track. Another I was going around the tight chicane just before the start finish line, someone came into that far too hot pushed me off track. I got back onto track, and it gave me a 1 second penalty for a shortcut, then a 2 second penalty for pushing someone off track... So yeah, that sucked. qualifying top 5 - finishing dead last each time.
