Might be corrupting, maybe a reinstall will do the trick. If you do, be sure to backup your game save data.

I remember there bEing a thread about this on gtp if i recall correctly, will see if i can dig it up

BTW, try running up GT5 disconnected from the PSN before you go too drastic, it has been known to cause issues at times with random clients :)

Disconnect your PS3 from the internet and run up GT5. If it runs better, then it is to do with your connection to PSN and is random. If you ahven't done so for some time, reboot your router/modem too :)

SSD drives are a big improvement for load times. Installing one is easy but you have to back up your GT5 data.

Hey lads. I am having this ongoing problem with the 2.10 update. When I start the update PSN disconnects, automatically reconnects but the update doesn't move at all. If I go into the game choosing not to update it sticks on a black screen from the start.
My other games have gone through the same process no problem.

    What do you think guys?

No, just a black screen... I'm pretty sure. I'll try that again tonight.

    How's it going Del Barrio?

Hmmm... hopefully you get some useful ideas from your GTP post mate. If it turns out that you can get on OK offline, try putting your PS3 in the DMZ of your modem. I had some serious issues with GT5 after I moved house until I did that.

Mine failed, shut down and restarted on my first attempt, reset and tried again and it went all the way through.
