went there today with m8, what a day for it lol. heavily raining when we got there, had to wait a bit till it stopped but track was still fairly wet, disregarded their recommendation of the wet suit for $10 lol, absolutely soaked and sand all over clothes that was kicked up from track. they said theyll dull the power a bit due to the wet track which was a bit dissapointing but understandable from their POV, IMO i preferred eastern creek track
definitely looks like a tighter track compared to either of ECK's tracks.. as with reduced power was it noticably slower or similar to EC karts in the dry?
The unfortunate thing about Luddo is it tops out far too early, ideally you'd only want to top out just before the fastest section but it tops out much before then.
defs noticeably slower, they reduced it by quite a bit i felt. there was one half lap where i noticed it was standard power and got excited, then felt it get reduced again lol.
Not sure if this is going ahead but i'm still really keen, been saving for it ahahaha. @N64TheStig007 you were there today, how was it?
Had a great day today with @MINT_GTR giving him a small "tour" of Sydney and its crappy drivers and roads before we hit the track. We had it to ourselves and as evidenced by us kicking up the dust and my big moment out of the long left sweeper at the bottom, we were pushing each other to the limit. Stole some track secrets from one of the friendly workers there and immediately we took off nearly a second off our time, it's such a fun track! Matt would beat me in each of our 3 runs, but all were by 6, then 5 then 4 tenths, proving how critical fitness and health are as he weighs over 20kg less! We had some photos taken for the social media exposure that Nissan like, which the staff were more than happy to accommodate. Everyone should give the track a go, equal cars and billiard table smooth, great fun.
Yeah the lap record is by a young gun who weighs a feather, the worker said it was done in perfect conditions so I can't see it being beaten anytime soon
When there is no minimum weight, light guys always have an acceleration advantage. Depending on the karts more weight can help your corner speed if used correctly. Definitely keen to check this track out... Its been around 6 years since I went on hire karts.
i should be able to make it, ive driven luddo a couple of times now I'd love to race some of you lads and a slight advantage of only weighing 56kg too
