Im sorry to all I voted for the hsv and its terrible standard I am so sorry to have chosen this car as it is not anywhere near the car that the gtr is ..I wish I had tested them both before I made my choice.. if at all I am able to change my vote some how I would appreciate it ...I thought I would post this just before any of season 11 starts..
Both have their flaws standard. Personally hated the front tyre wear of the GT-R and it's point and shoot nature. HSV can actually power oversteer if I get it wrong despite the stupid long gearing stock. Still at least I know what the season 12 car will be.
I am quite surprised the HSV won the vote. For me it is unbelievably boring to drive, using Bathurst as an example. The gearbox is so long it can't even rev out in 5th far enough to need 6th on conrod downhill! Another example being the across the mountain section, it is able to be done at full throttle in 1 gear, 4th, without any need for throttle control whatsoever! This is equivalent to an arcade driving experience for me. It also suffers from over steer as much as the obvious under steer of a 4wd like the GTR. The GTR requires so much more skill to drive, gearbox is good, is so much faster, and all round is a more enjoyable driving experience for me.
I can't wait for all the HSV haters to complain early weeks of S11, only for S12 to be the season Fastboy loses his reputation for understeer.
haha I did consider another full weather/dmg series in the R32... but no I actually mean a bop's field of the year 2000 JGTC cars with full tuning...
For me , and i'm sure others, it was like voting for the Prime Minister. Pick the one you hate the least In saying that tho, the HSV creates some great racing, and there is plenty of tracks you can nominate that YOU think will suit it's gearbox, thinking of 5th as its top gear
