Would be the 787B or the T/A supra for me. Already used the 488 in races here at rooz and hated that. AMG GT3 too similar to the last car. 919 cbf with the hybrid systems 718rs, not my style of Porsche, the 70's 3.0 rsr however
Something that could be worth considering is a retro series using one of the classic cars (haven't tested much recently, so not going to suggest any specific cars) on historic tracks - there are a few good historic track mods available (Thompson Road, Riverside, 1960's Hockenheim to name a few), as well as Kunos' classic Monza and Silverstone.
I ran a few laps tonight with some different cars: Mazda 787B. - fast on the straights but slower in the corners than you might think. Sometimes difficult for me to steer and control and I would think this would be difficult to control for a race or league. Porsche 917/30 spyder. - No.... this thing is tupid fast and only Aliens can drive it. I sure as hell couldnt. It's like a scary ride I never want to get back on. Porsch 718 RS 60 spyder. - gentlemens hour has arrived. Grab your qwells and boarding pass for this lovely boat ride and remember not to go near the red line, or you may not finish the race with an engine. Fun to drive. Ginetta GT4 supercup. - Nup. BMW M235i racing. - nice but too similar to last car. Toyota Supra MKIV time attack. - very long braking distance, could be good for overtaking or pile ups. Low corner grip. 60% turbo is fine, 100% with any full throttle damages your engine. Lotus 2-eleven GT4. - good handling car and quick enough. Massive downsides is the annoying engine sound and windscreen still undecided on my car vote.
After driving this thing round Nords tonight I'm in love with this beast so I'm throwing the classic Porsche 962c short tail into the mix. Its similar to the 787B but has way more downforce and grip, an absolute blast to drive. Its very quick but I was still able to string several laps together on the ring in this, something I found impossible in the 787B. Check out Chris Harris cream his pants trashing the real thing below.
did some laps in the 787b and it certainly is a very unforgiving car to drive... might scare a few ppl off... I think if I could I would now remove my vote for it. One thing I want to add was that spidey, spita and I had a ball racing each other on spideys server in DTM's I did notice we haven't done a DTM race here on ROOZ... certainly great cars to drive.. wink wink nudge nudge
but didn't have alpha in there so i thought i'd mention it... a revisit in a later season is cool too, just throwing it out there
The Mazda RX7 Tuned manual is good fun. Better than the Supra in my opinion. Also, I reckon you should throw in an Eastern Creek track following on from Bathurst last season to keep the Auzzie theme going.
