will try and have to handicap the times somehow.
will depend on the track though..

I was thinking of just keeping the divisional lap standings separate as there won't really be an effective comparison with the tyre tier.

So as for the wiki format, instead of having headings *track/top 10/top 20/remaining will probably have *track/div1/div2/div3 and just leave it at that.

Or I could leave it as per Season 3, and with the DivX tags next to the names you'll know who was using which tyres, and the top 10 is what it is....doesn't bother me. :| There was nothing riding on the times comparision, it was just interest.

Awesome stuff. I really like the list.
A few reverse tracks, and the GVE Reverse enduro... Brilliant.

Cheers guys, Stumbles helped as well.

Interesting note, I was doing some practice last night then 5-6 other guys jumped in the room. The Div 3 guys were all about 2-3 seconds a lap faster than div 1 once they acclimatised to the track, times that are simply not possible on Sports Hard tyres. So the weekly fastest laps list will likely be upside down when compared to previous seasons.

Will have to apply a handicap per track i think.
ive done testing on SS , RH and RM And i reckon as an average i'm 4 seconds quicker on Meds so maybe we could add 4 seconds onto lap times from div 3, div 2 would be around 2 seconds on the race hards compared to the sports softs.

Probably just put up the lap times for each division will do, it doesn't account for anything championship wise and would be some mucking around to do it.

I agree with Bonus.. especially after looking further into my proposal below.....

Sound pretty good. 2second advantage per tyre level sounds about right. I would do the handicap as a function of track length based on your baseline above. This would save you testing at each track.

So say those figures apply to Cape Ring South [CRS]
Next week at Nurburg GP-D [NGPD] the handicap would be [4seconds] x [NGPD length]/[CRS length].
This way the handicap will be slightly greater at longer tracks.

    You could make it more complex and add a function modifier for longest straight since the tyre teir really on gives an advantage on corners. The modifier could be {[NGPD length]x[CRS longest straight]}/{[NGPD longest straight]x[CRS length]}

So say the ratio of longest straight to track length was 3 for both tracks, then the modifier would =1 and be nullified.

Sorry I can't access the GT5 track list right now for actual track lengths. The site seems to be down.
It will be appear more simple when I can put actual numbers in it....

But yea, for posting 30 - 40 odd lap times this handicap is going to be a pain in the ass whichever way you do it. Pity we can't have a live spreadsheet embedded in the wiki to do the handicap calcs rather than posting it all manually.

It was great practicing with the Div 1 guys, Outta, Koastr, Beau & Chev. We ended up with 3 vs 3 Div1 vs Div 3 (me, Aza & Dougz). On the sports hards us Div 3 were about 3-3.5 seconds a lap slower.

Then we got on the Race mediums and a good lap time was around 1.15 or so (div 1 guys were doing 1.17), Dougz even threw down a 1.14.5 the bugger! LOL

BUT that being said, we had numerous 5 lap races, and the Div 1 guys took the bulk of the wins (except for Koastr, hehe) due to being more consistent on the track.
