The temporary set up I'm currently using.
Plans for the new one. Collapses in on itself at three points,(base, pedals, and shifter mount) so will be only just over 1m long when packed away. I'm running a DFGT atm so the shifter mount is for when I finally find the spare $$$ to upgrade to a G27, or better yet, a T500

The wheel deck is big enough. Will most definitely have to incorporate one in there.

Nah mate, can't be reaching for it, needs a circular holder added on to the gear-shift holder.

Looking good mate. Are you are a welder by trade? Or just a hobbyist?

    Hi!

I sincerely hope I'm not hijacking anyone's focus, but I've been eager to show off my rig for ages! I've been using this baby for 2 years now. Virtually unchanged. It's where the magic happens. =P

That shows the whole scene. In the shot I included the fan because it's an important part.

Close up of the setup. I've got lots of stuff... see if you can spot the PS2 Slim, the PS3 Slim, surround sound box & front 3 speakers, sneaky Ethernet cable that runs throughout the house, AVerMedia game capture, two F1 games, and the multitude of notepads and pens for writing down setups, names, details and lists for trophy collecting.

Now it's been replaced with a T500 and pedals though. I have close-ups of the chipboard if anyone is interested in how crude it is, as well as the pedal set that is held in place by phonebooks.

Post-script: how do you attach photoes here hosted through 'raceonoz.com'? My files were too large, it told me.

EDIT: I should also mention (just because I'm showing off how DIY and crude it is), that with the T500, I've raised the couch onto four bricks on each corner. The T500 sticks out and up more than the DFGT does, and instead of getting VERY messy and moving lots of stuff to make the table lower, I made the couch higher.

Very similar to my first setup crunch ! It's taken me ten years and 7 variations to get to my current rig

Managed to get the wheel/pedals fitted last night and chucked a few quick laps :) and wow that t500 has got some balls ! Couldn't get the 458 challenge wheel working but hopefully that will be fixed with a firmware update on the wheel ?!? I'll plug it into my PC today and see what happens . image.jpg

I have been thinking about making a few of them, maybe just painted steel to keep the cost down.

Cool. Only thing is, I'd need a bigger room to put it in here, my computer room is only 2m x 3m.

    Looking fantastic Stig, well done.
You could certainly make some money with that rig....
