So just thinking about if I were to set up something in the shed, I've already bought a GTART wheel stand which should get here tomorrow. I'm thinking rather than waste it and risk the scorn of my wife I could build a floor frame and attach a seat and the stand to it in a permanent setup. Question is, where to source one of these racing style seats. If I do this I want to keep costs down as much as possible. Doesn't need to be best brands, just functional and solid.

keep an eye out at local wreckers. or local tip shop, thats where I picked mine up from. Gave it a really good clean and for $15 I'm not arguing.

I was thinking that. I could do with clearing out the shed first and making room in there among the quads and gym equipment lol. No rush I guess, once I have the stand I'll see how that works out in the house. Hopefully the wife will get so sick of me I'll be advised to just do it.

OK so wife and kids are going away for 4 days next week to the inlaws. I think it's time to strike :devilish::ninja: I just have to either test the possibility of EoP working on the rear shed or get some conduit and a long ethernet cable and bury it away from the dog.

Doesn't have to be wide or deep, just make sure it doesn't go over 100m

Sorry fastboy, you don't know my dog lol

I spend a full day (from 7am to 8pm) last spring installing those pop up mushroom sprinklers around my entire garden (over 100m of pipes) and the next morning I had one (out of around 30) mushroom and absolutely no pipes left in the ground. This has gotta be done right, I'm thinking at least 15" deep and a trail of her poop left near the top.

Chuck a bit of crusher dust in there beakeroo. A lil spray of water. Compact it a bit. Chuck some soil over the top. It will go rock hard. The dog won't like the feel of the hard surface if it digs down to it.

Not quite 'man cave' material, but here's my take on the fold-away/mobile setup that doesn't feature scaffolding between the legs:
This is the seventh version of my 'living room friendly/looks like furniture' design and the fifth one that I've built.
It can be folded away without having to unmount or unplug any of the driving peripherals, which are kept in place through hard mounting holes for a popular range of Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec wheels, pedals and shifters.
Other features include 8 height/reach adjustments, cable management routes and a full-size keyboard/remote/etc tray.
I also designed and built a lounge chair with a racing seat posture to complete the package.

Please see my facebook album for more pics/info, cheers!

What's the go with getting plans for a rig? Buy them online or can find some other way of getting hold of them
