what a day !! The F1, supercar and bike challange gave me goose bumps.........friggen awesome Some really good stuff, heaps to see, was well worth it. The car soccer they play was a good laugh, drifting, modified supercars, heaps of car club displays, lots to do. tried to get a message to you zamps, but the network was sooooooo slow out there, i couldnt get on the net !!! OH, and if you can pack enough food and drink to get you through the day it will save you about $7698.50 !! Thats what i paid for 4 drinks, a pizza and meat pie ! The sauce was free !!
I ended up going to the festival on Saturday, though I certainly wasn't expecting to be going there... only found out at 10 on Friday night when my brother had stopped at a motel in Newcastle :lol:. Really good surprise birthday present I have to say! (and it was a proper surprise, thought I was going over to the northern side of town, though it was a bit weird when we were heading towards Coffs Harbour instead). It was a great day, most variety I've ever seen at a motoring event - to use an old cliche it really did have something for everyone; Touring Car Masters, Radicals, F1 vs V8 Supercar vs Bike, drag cars, stunts, car displays/show 'n shine and of course Top Gear challenges, just to name a few. Shame I couldn't meet up with any fellow ROOZ'ers, though I didn't have a chance to log on here and say that I was going. Will have some pics from the event up soon. Just be glad you managed to get something to drink... every stall me and my dad went to had sold out of drinks - managed to get 3 bottles of Lift from one place though, but we'd just got there in time, they only had 6 left! The meat pie van also sold out of meat pies by the time I'd got there, so I ended up with a Magnum ice cream for lunch (Kimi Raikonnen would be proud!), half of which melted onto my shirt

lol stig, thought you said you only got back tonight? sorry i didnt respond to your post stu, havent been on a computer since thursday, so didnt see it there till today. day was awesome, the f1 just looks heaps cool on the track. never seen one before, so was good experience. alan jones' 1980 f1 car was so loud, had a nice race with jones in an LFA. won a nice alienware pack with a bag and a mouse from the stand for getting the fastest time on day 1 on f1 2012 around albert park. if only the time stayed today, i wouldve won a two-year pass into the VIP suites! couldnt get used to the G27 though, felt really light and i dont think they had FF on much, which didnt help at all. my time was a 1:27:140, fastest on the sunday was a 1:26:2xx i think. i decided to try it at home to see the difference and did a 1:25:5 lol. if only, if only, but was good fun and even got a response from fabian coulthard when i messaged him on twitter that i beat his time. tried to get a signature, but they went so quickly, given the size of the lines. almost got whincup/stoner, but then they cut it off, same with webber. saw the stoner family go through the tunnel as well when they were (presumeably) leaving, and whincup as well.
Yeah zamps, only got home at 7:30 last night, stayed with relatives in Wollongong on Saturday night, so had a long trip home on Sunday. E, you shouldn't have spent so much on iRacing if you need rego for the mighty Pulsar .
