Unfortunately I am unable to attend 2 rounds of GT5 Season 10 as i am currently in Japan.

While i was in Tokyo i thought it might be cool to checkout Tsukuba Circuit with my own eyes. I went along to a general circuit day with a mixture of time attack and drift. It was all i thought it would be and had a ball watching these guys do their thing.

I snapped a few pics with my phone. Funnily enough the car of choice for the day seemed to be the FD RX7 :) I seemed to be a club or something but there was 4 serious time attack divisions with some professionally kitted out cars and 3 pro drift groups. Times varied throughout the day with a hardcore S15 taking the time of the day landing in 52 bracket. Most of the pro cars were just cracking the minute. The lower division cars were around the 64-65 second mark but these were not standard cars. So it seems our stock FD3S on street tyres are doing pretty well compared to real thing :) It was also a freakin cold dusty day which im sure was affecting their times.

    Cheers,

    Ray

It is amazing how acurate the track is in GT5 in comparison to the real thing, but then I remember it is a Japanese track local to PD

The new FT86s were a part of a 86 specific division. It was mainly AE86 Truenos and Levins with a few 2012 ZN6 86GTs. All the AE86s were fairly modified with fuel cells etc. They were coming in anywhere from 59s to 64s. The new 86s which were also fairly modified were pulling 65s... cant beat that power to weight ratio i guess. I figure theres still alot of development to be done on the new track 86s

Goes to show how quick those little NA 4s can be :D

It is remarkable how well theyve simulated the track on GT5. I liked watching the cars coming out of the last turn a little wide bounce over the edging of the main straight. It was only just the slightest bump to see from outside but from in the car i bet its a different feeling

Hell yeah it would be, true feedback (not the simulated version we get lol)

    Edit: stupid autocorrect..
