Having done some testing the car does have some under steer in the top lane when coming off the banking especially in the tri oval which could get worse when travelling in the disturbed air of the car infront.

    At max power:
Lap times - 43 second bracket
Top speed no draft - 345 Kph

    Limited to 581 Bhp
    Lap times - 47 seconds
Top speed no draft - 315 Kph

I think it would reduce the incidents during the race and be fairer for everyone as a result.

Will have a quick look at this now Warrior, thanks for looking at it. Will open a public room if anyone is around and wants to smash me!.

btw, get your names down lads. This is a great event where you can't loose. There are only 3 corners to practice, no tuning and you could pick up a new set of headphones just by turning up.

Will try and run some practice rooms this week. Pack driving in these cars can be hard work, and it is worth practicing driving in a draft.

@Warrior. I have looked at the BHP proposal and think it's a valid suggestion. Aussie raised an interesting point about the engine evolution though and there may be advantages to be gained (if we cap the BHP) to drivers using new cars. This is technically Stu's baby, so the final decision will be his, so my advice to all is to get into your NASCAR's and run some laps, they max out at around 892bhp after oil change and run in.

@Anon. Are you referring to the 2011 cars over the 2010 cars or the Km's on the car.

    My two cents again.
I think the GT double file restarts aren't that good and that we could do a better job ourselves, for example adding 1 extra lap to the race and stay double file 1 car length apart driving at 100 kph and the driver on pole would start the race anytime between turn 4 to the start finish line.

Unless the start is so bad that someone loses the draft, I dont think it will matter much

Ahhh neither of those points actually. But that's okay. I wasn't aware there was much difference between 2010 & 2011 cars. Is there? As much as I like the idea for the start, we tried to get people in formation for the video and it wasn't easy. Think it may be easier to keep it as is, but would like to test a few things in a big room at some stage this week. Will aim to be on tomorrow night if people are keen to help test a few things.

How many people are watching the f1? Should we look at starting after the race? Could be trouble if it rains though...

only difference is obviously the decals and the front bumper is different on the 2011 vs 2010 cars.

ill be watching the F1 (hopefully), didnt watch last week live, had to go out and recorded it for later, so would be nice to watch this one live but no biggie if i cant, see how many other people are watching it.
