Just got my new car: Audi A3 2.0T (identical to Golf GTI) I didn't buy this car to flip though, I got it for a bargain at 13k and I figured it would be a good daily driver, its pretty damn fast and has alot more poke then my CLK did, also with the DSG it makes a fart sound when you change gear its pretty funny sounds like a rally car. Planning on some upgrades, already booked in a ECU tune later this week and apprentely gives the car an extra 50KW at the wheels. Can't wait.
Yeah lol, i plan to keep this one for awhile though, Probably the funnest car i have had so far to drive and its FWD lol, its just wild with its farting and snorting sounds it makes.
How do they go about tuning it? Do they modify the ECU or leave it alone and tune the software. I know with commodores we have a program that can alter the standard ECU which is great.
Just the software, they get this plug in software that plugs in to the ecu. Exactly like this(my ECU will also be done by Revo): Makes a S4 the same speed as a RS4 lol. Audis are very simple with this and the forced induction models make massive gains(mine will go from around 147kw to 196kw @430nm!!).
Ahhh I see, must have a program to modify the Audi ECU AND to allow more boost. All makes sense now. Always a much better option then aftermarket ECU's like Haltech's.

r34 gtr v-spec about to be back on the road once again. dyno run 2 weeks ago it made 1017hp so pretty happy with that. divorce papers here i come lol.
