With Bathurst confirmed for GT6 with time change and a selection of GT3 cars available, it'd be possible to run a Bathurst 12 Hour in the game - in a shorter form of course, around 2 hours with x6 time scale could be good. If there is enough interest in this race, I'd consider adding the other classes into the race. Each class would run in a separate session, perhaps some of the classes with lower numbers could share a session.
I wonder if we have a repeat of '66 with the Cooper S minis? Just a shame they don't have Cortina's in GT5/6 we could have a classic Bathurst battle
It'd be awesome if 2 L touring cars were in there and V8 Supercars...would make for a brilliant event
Could go two classes GT Pro and GT Am just like they do in the real thing, with identical cars just pro drivers in one and Gentleman drivers in the other. Since the new updated car list they also have the M3 GT which would fit the regulations of GT3( it was called GT2 when it raced but the regulations never changed when they changed the name to GT3). Also GT300 cars have identical aero to GT3(most ofthe grid is filled with GT3 cars)as the regulations are basically the same except the power is limited to 300 to make sure they aremuch slower then GT500.
If I were to go down the multi class route, I'd consider using GT300 cars as a replacement for the mainly Porsche dominated Class B GT3. Not too sure about the M3, as it's still built to a different set of rules to the GT3 cars, however a weight/aero penalty could be put in place to match it in pace with the GT3 cars.
Thinking about running this race over 50 laps, with just the GT3 cars at the moment (if there's enough interest in this, I'll run another room with 500/550pp base models/touring cars). No idea on the date for it yet, maybe late January/early February.
Just the 4 GT3 cars (R8 LMS, Z4 GT3, SLS AMG and GT-R GT3) at the moment, but I may add a few more cars in such as the M3 GT2 and some of the SuperGT cars if they are evenly matched.
Please get this back up and running Stig. Watching the 12 hour now and itching to get out there and have a go. GT6 is as close as any of us will ever get.
