RaceOnOz Sunday league is back after a season break for another 7 rounds of competitive action! The Toyota GT One is the car of choice for the season, boasting over 700hp, 900kg and a lot of turbo lag! Round 1 ventured to the famed Daytona International Speedway for 45 minutes around the 24hr layout under lights!

Division 1

A classic qualifying battle ensued in our premier division as Mint_Matt grabbed a tightly fought pole by just over a tenth to Viperzed. Mint_Matt proceeded to perform a grand slam by leading every lap and setting the fastest lap enroute to his 26th top flight win. His closest competition Noodles who came home 2nd, was engrossed in a battle with PRiMA_GTR until the latter came unstuck at the Le Mans Chicane in the early stages. Captain Muffin rounded out the podium on his RaceOnOz debut after a fight with Rangeraus that went right down to the line.

Division 2

Division 2 was rocked by 12 year old Tanqr7286 who snagged pole in his first ever Rooz qualifying session. Tanq had a troublesome run during the race, having left his car in fuel mix 2 for most of the race and having a spin on the final lap to come home 5th. Herbie grabbed an important first win for S9 leading Hatfield and Matthyus home to complete the podium, Matthyus doing so right on the line after pole sitter Adza ran out of fuel.

Division 3

Emmo completed a grand slam of his own in Div 3, having grabbed pole, won and done so with Covid! Tolley and Britz came home 2nd and 3rd, marking a fantastic night out for the GRT squad.

Division 4

Jim_Aka_The_Man dodged the chaos behind to take a commanding victory in Div 4. Pole sitter Half-Byte fought teammate Dash_Vanguard all the way to the end after a close call with Fezza and Brendan Stimpy who both ran out of fuel in the Le Mans Chicane!
