Sometimes it's the slower cars that give the best racing

Road cars are a better choice if people want less tuning as there a lot less you can adjust on a road car

V8 supercar maybe? Great out of the box and is seriously enjoyable to drive and race with.

Thanks Hat...had been meaning to set this up ......
Some of the guys have covered this dj, and just to clarify....... taking from the season 2 testing we did

    - after EXTENSIVE tire testing, we found that with the tuning prohibited, there were still occasions where drivers couldn't get fresh rubber when needed, and we couldn't replicate the issue to find a fix. This was after Giant created a new account to replicate a new car coming into the lobby. Even with the fuel "issue" being present (low fuel) in his car, he was able to get new tires when pitting, which was the complete opposite to what happened to BlueXR8 and Rotor the night before. Put simply, we couldnt replicate the issue, and try to find a fix....meaning there was a "chance" that drivers would be disadvantaged during the season. In this regard we felt that tuning, and the freedom to change tires openly could help to negate this possible issue.

    - Rain tires. We found in testing last night that some of the guys were going through the rain tires last night in 1 lap, while others were wearing as normal. The lobby was non tune and we had the 4 weather slots set to different settings. This will need more investigation before round 4 to see what may have caused the issue, HOWEVER, with the weather set to "rain" with no slots selected (rain was the only option) there didnt seem to be any issues with tire selection or wear.

    - The fuel issue. As has been highlighted by a few on here, there is a way around not having the default 90L of fuel for both qualifying and the race. We initially believed that this issue saw the tires not being changed when needed, but this was disproved last night. We agreed that having 1 driver on 45 ltrs for the race while everyone else is on 90l is an unfair advantage. For this reason, its only fair that we level this playing field as much as we can, and everyone will be advised of how much fuel you will need for the race, so you can put it in your strategy.

Unless someone can show me/us how we can get around these issues for a non-tune series, then we will have to allow tuning. Its common knowledge i am not a fan of it, as its been proven that the guys with a fast tune generally get the lollies, however i dont see a way around it at this stage UNLESS WE TURN OFF WEAR AND FUEL
    ?

As for S4 cars......all i will say is that please remember along with all the tuning and track requests, we need to TRY to get a car that all drivers, of all standards, can handle........whatever that is i dont know

My preference is a race car......however i think we need to start a road car/race car poll to get the ball rolling and dismiss one or the other.
V8SC.......field seemed to spread very quick in the few races i have done in it.
Aston GT4 seemed pretty good last time we tested it

So we going to allow DLC cars (Renault RS.01, GT86 GT4 etc.)? If yes then i'd be all for another race car but if no then i'd prefer a road car as the non DLC race cars are either awful, overused (GT3), or too similar to those already been used in a season (prototypes and group A). I'd also say that an open wheeler like the FC would be too similar to the radical as well.

Can you please add the gumpert Apollo? It's nice to drive but can't still lock up into the turns and still needs throttle control.
The P1 needs much more throttle control and more slidy :)

Formula Gulf (F4) is the best bet for open wheel.

If DLC is allowed, which i doubt considerably, Mercedes C63 AMG DTM
If not allowed, something slower could be fun.... Escort 1600 maybe? Moves around alot but doesn't really bite the driver all that often

the whole "allow DLC" thing is a tough one....generally we havent allowed it as there have been a lot of members who (for 1 reason or another) havent had access to the DLC content. Not sure what else to say, other than if evryone is willing and able to use DLC, then i cant see why not. If there are a few that cant, then we will stay with the freely available ones.

I only have the free cars I hate paying for extra s#it rip off bastards. Should all be free like gt6
In saying that if the season car was one you had to pay for i would still buy it.
Oh and my evo choice was the FQ360 something rather

Well actually season 5 and 12 of GT5 has set a precedent for the allowing of DLC with the use of Spa. In season 5 it was a bonus round but in season 12 it was the final race of the season.

If the use of DLC were to be given the green light here would be some of my top suggestions:
    1) Indy Car
    2) BMW M1 Procar
    3) GT86 GT4
    4) BMW BTCC
    5) Renault RS.01
