Has anyone with a PS5 had their controller or wheel randomly disconnect? I left mine on the other day while I went to do something and came back to find the PS5 controller had disconnected. I just had to push the PS button again to reconnect and didn't think anymore of it. Last night while driving my wheel disconnected i.e suddenly no steering/accelerator/brake and a message appeared on screen "controller disconnected". Again pushing the PS button on the wheel reconnected it. I'm just worried it will happen mid race at some stage and I can't find anything online about the issue or how to rectify it. There's a bit of stuff about the PS5 controller disconnecting and doing a hard reset via a pin hole on the controller to fix that but nothing regarding steering wheels.
What steering wheel are you running? I had some issues with a T-GT where the pins wouldn't connect 100% and the vibrations through the wheel wouldmake them lose contact and the wheel would disconnect. My fix was just to thump the wheel into place harder which seemed to work! Had no such issues with Fanatec gear though.
From day one if i have my controler on while i am using my wheel t300 periodicly i loose throtle to about 1/2. Turn the controle off then straight away full power. Summing up race night i put my controller on my mobile phone to use chat and disconect it before quali n race.
Fanatec podium. I'm as sure as I can be it's not the wheel or the connections given I reconnected it simply by pushing the PS button and it remained connected after that. I am pretty sure it's a PS5 issue
I will be on later tonight for my first official GT event. Boy what an amazing experience it was. Be sure to cheer me & AmazingHour on!
Cheers. Was a hard race that’s for sure. I only missed out by one spot so that’s something to be proud of. Competition was mega tough but I managed to do pretty decent. Hope you all enjoyed it!
You were in the thick of by the looks of it and managed to stay clean and made some places in the mean time. Like you said, no mean feat given the calibre of racer in the event. Hold your head up high mate.
Ended up having a belter at GTWS on Saturday night, despite the efforts of one seriously deranged individual who was trying to ram everyone off the road.
